Title: Oxygen Mask In UK
Post by emmettk90 on Jan 5th, 2015 at 1:49pm
I have been using the Oxygen for a while now but find that the masks I get from the pharmacy are not very good, and I am looking for one of the more decent ones. The problem is everywhere I look doesn't ship to the UK, so I was wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase a decent mask from that will ship to the UK.

One of the best non-rebreathing masks is the ClusterO2 kit.  It's available right here at the CH.com store tab at the left.

If you're looking for a source in the UK, try Sea-Long at the following link:  START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or RegisterEND PRINTPAGE

If you're a handy DIY type, build your own Redneck Oxygen Reservoir Bag system from a clean 40 gal trash bag and plastic Coke bottle...  See the following links for the "How To" details.

I've built the Redneck Reservoir Bag breathing systems several times... They work great and there is no (zero) inhalation resistance...

You might also want to try the anti-inflammatory regimen as a CH preventative.  See the following link for details.

83% of the CH'ers who try this regimen experience a significant reduction in the frequency of their CH... 60% remain essentially pain free while taking this regimen.

Take care and please keep us posted.

Hey Emmett, so sorry to hear about what you are going through after having just read all your posts since you joined the site. I started Batch's D3 regimen and it has changed my life. I have gone from 2 cycles a year -1 was 3 to 5 months long, the other around 2 months long- to having just shadows for  few days in my usually sping cycle and 1 or 2 weeks of shadows in my usually autumn/winter cycle. I would highly recommed that you read the "123 days pain free and i think i know why" thread to get a good understanding of the D3 regimen.
There is a way out, the D3 regimen works for 80% of people, for some it reduces dramatically the intensity of attacks, for others it stops all pain and everything in between.
I see you're in Northern Ireland, I'm down south in Galway. Do not hesitate to contact me on here if you wish.
All th best  ;)

i don't even use a mask. i just stick the end of the hose in my mouth hold it with me teeth while plugging my nose with my index and thumb.  i suck for an inhale and just open my lips to exhale.  i get 100% O2 with ever breath and it barley draws any attention in my direction.  Over the last year i went one step farther and got myself a push button valve that i installed on the hose.  When i exhale i push the button and the flow stops. this has made each of my bottles last all most twice as long since i'm wasting zero O2.  i don't think that i would even use a mask now if it was given to me for free.
