Pam was a category 5 cyclone that has just passed over Vanuatu with 200mph+ winds and it is heading towards NZ, due to pass a few hundred miles offshore, just missing, but there is expected to be some wet and windy weather from the now category 4 storm.

Our hearts go out to all in Vanuatu and our aid squads are already on their way. To all our friends in Kiwi land we truly wish the best.

Be aware, be prepared, ensure you have plenty of ice.

Pam was reasonably well behaved, staying well out to sea with the result that the winds and rain whilst pretty strong were not really damaging. We were lucky.
