Title: I'm a New Mother...
Post by BarbaraD on Apr 8th, 2015 at 9:21am
And at my AGE...

Yesterday I had some clients come up and they brought more than their tax stuff.. They breed che-wa-was and had one left out the litter that they hadn't sold and lo and behold... they decided I needed a new baby..

She is cute as a button.. Eight weeks old and I can hold her in one hand.

I put Ms Gabrella Squeek on her papers, but call her Gabby. I swear she "squeeks" but figure she'll learn to bark before long.

When I took her out this morning she snapped at the big dogs and they backed off.. so I think she's going to have an attitude.

Only problem we're having is that I'm having to watch where I step cause she's under my feet and I sure don't need to trip on her and fall down and go boom. I told her to walk 10 steps behind me, but she doesn't have the hang of that yet.

So wish me luck.. It's been a long time since I had a small dog. This is going to take some getting used to.. But did I mention she is cute?   :-*

Totally agree about needing photos!

One of our cats is called Dagny, but as a kitten she didn't meow but she squeaked, so we often called her "little squeak". She still answers to that name today too, even though she is over 8Kg (about 18 pounds).

She won't sit still long enough for me to take a picture. I've been trying..  :-*

How dare you not have a pic to post.  That's a no-no here. lol

Glad you have her though.  Love her name.  I grew up with Chihuahas...tough little creatures.

Awaiting pic... :)

Food is normally a great bribe to slow them down, otherwise play with them enough to wear them out and catch them asleep.
