Hi all,
I changed jobs and no longer have access to the internet all night, so its been a while since I've been visible here. Spring and fall are hard times for me. I've just started a a find cluster this spring. I hate these headaches, but I have to find a way to make peace with them, if I'm going to live. I'll try to check in more often, so we all know we're not alone. Not a bad night. Only two beastly vists.

As a 15 year chronic who has visited the very depths of darkness in the far corners of my own mind, I will simply say:

Invest in yourself.

Pay very, very close attention to several therapies/treatments that are completely changing the lives of MOST CH sufferers. I would be a wealthy man if I could get paid just a little for every time that I said:

"I tried that - it doesn't work for me."

At the same time I could cry thinking of the relationships destroyed, jobs lost and true agony endured needlessly.......
If you have Cluster Headaches you must invest in yourself and take charge of your malady because nobody can do it as fast as you can.........

It's been a year and a few months since the last batch. I was in hospital   having  a brain tumor removed. Benign but damaged trigeminal  nerve causing  chronic face pain.  About a week ago I was woken up and knew immediately  I was doomed for the next 6 or 7 weeks. I woke up my husband with news.  Poor guy has put up with this devil for years..  I must say the combo of the CH and the nerve pain is just foul.  I am back to my crazy chanting and really bad dance moves all night long.  So, I will be checking   in for moral support . I hope to be able to lend an ear to a fellow sufferer . Liz (40 years of CH  since  high school)

I actually cry,when i read these posts.....It,s been about 2 years,since I heard the train coming down the track... About a week ago,i started getting neck pain, I tell myself that I strained it,playing disc golf,or hiking,but, unfortunately, i know the pain all too well...so last night the neck started hurting and I know the train has left the station.....I had a very minor blast and will tell myself,maybe they won't come this time...But I am prepared for a challenging month of may- I've had these for 30 plus years and have noticed changes over the years as far as intensity and time.....I have been lucky in that I have skipped a year here and there----   my sincere feelings of empathy for all-

Fez, sorry to hear it!  Get over to the Meds and Treatments board and check out the Vitamin D3 therapy.  Don't know if you are familiar with it, being gone that long, but it has been a God-send to a number of us.  Over 80% effective, especially for you episodics.
