And who'd thunk it?

When I went to bed we were under a tornado "watch" but so was half the state of Texas. My electricity went off and the storm got bad, but.. I went to sleep and slept thru it (I mean what can you really do?)

So this morning about daylight, my neighbor shakes me awake screaming at me... (not the way I usually wake up). When I get my feet on the floor I finally figure out that she's telling me we had a tornado last night while I was sleeping and it hit HER side of the road (not mine). Ok, nothing but some trees were hit and she's ok.. WHY are you still screaming... That was before midnight - it's daylight NOW!

But alas.. she regaled me with all the details of the blackness and the noise and how frightened she was and cried quite a bit.

Guess I'm just getting old but, as Kip always said, "Don't sweat the small stuff and most things are small stuff." There's nothing you can do about the weather or tornados. Getting hysterical doesn't help anything and just makes you goofy. If you're really scared go to a closet or a storm shelter (if you can stand to do that - I couldn't).

But I figure when the Good Lord thinks it's my turn He'll let me know... until then .. well us OLD people do need our rest.
