Title: New Head Pain Post by FrankF on Jan 23rd, 2016 at 2:17pm
I have experienced over the past few weeks a new head pain. Whenever I cough I get a sharp stabbing pain in my head (on the same side as my cluster side), about three inches above the temple. Only lasts a second or two, each time I cough. I have decided to see a doctor about it, but undecided if I should see a GP or neuro. Has anybody had similar experience?
Please no Google answers, I have already done that. |

Ignoring the cough bit, it sounds like ice pick headaches (I get them sometimes) but I've not had any connection to coughing at all.
Seeing a doctor is the right option. |

given your history and the nature of this new pain, I'd aim for a headache specialist.

I get a stabbing pain with intense coughing in the same general area you describe...

I get the same thing when I'm breathing heavily and turn my head in just the wrong way. It's exactly on "that" spot and lasts only seconds, but scarey as all get out for a CHead.
As always, if you're concerned you should see a doctor. |
