Pat Mitchell died yesterday. Prayers and sympathy goes out to Bill. She was a great lady and will be missed.

Oh no!! That is terrible and sad news indeed.........

Her work will live on...as she will in those that knew her.

Thank you all so very much. Your thoughts and words are a comfort to me.

Following is the statement I posted on facebook right after she passed:

It is with a great deal of calm and peace in my heart that I must tell all of you that Pat passed away at 8:30 last night. There was no pain, no struggle, no drama. She simply stopped breathing. It was exactly the kind of death we prayed for.

I will be hurting as I find the new path that lies ahead of me, but I am confident that her memory and the wonderful life we shared will comfort me on this journey. I already miss her terribly.

Words cannot express the love and support we felt from all of you throughout this process. I will be forever grateful.

Finally, I think Pat would want you to hold your loved ones a little tighter in her honor tonight. The greatest gift either of us ever received was each other. She would want you to feel that, too.
