Title: Training the Doc
Post by dlh2nd on Jul 7th, 2016 at 1:45pm
Hello, my name is Dave. I have been suffering from episodic CH for about 20 years. Of course back then in the beginning, I did not know a single person in rural Missouri that was going through this like I was, though I am now sure there was. I also did not realize until exploring sites like this  that there were so many out there! I recently moved back to this area after having been away for many years. My old doc had passed away and I just knew I was going to have to train a new one about what this is, how bad it gets, and what I need. My beast reappeared about 2 weeks ago after being packed away for about 30 months. Much to my surprise he was familiar with treatment. I asked for verapamil, sumatriptan injections, and O2. He said sounds right and called it right in. Before I got home, pharmacy calling....insurance is balking. SURPRISE! I guess I will attempt to train them now.
