Title: The cries in the night !
Post by Annette on May 13th, 2008 at 6:10pm

$@(*$&@(*W*YE@(*$^@($*@ !

It looks like Daniel is starting another cycle !  :'(

For the last 5 nights he has had 2 hits per night at 12 am and 6 am like clock work and now he is starting the day hits too. Although we are more experienced this time around and got on meds quickly so the hits arent as bad as 2 years ago, they can be killed fairly quickly within 10 mins with oxygen and imigran nasal sprays, and the kip levels arent bad but still I so much hate waking up to those muffled cries in the night !

:'(

Dammit.   >:(

I hate this stuff.

You all hang tough--really glad to know that you're better-armed this time around, Annette.

All the best,

George

I'm glad to hear the current aresenal is working pretty well and quickly.  Hope it stays that way and that this cycle passes quickly.

Thank you George, Joe and Laurie for your support.

This cycle rammed up quite quickly for Daniel, within a few days he went to 2 hits at night to 2 more in a day then 6 hits in 24 hrs ( every 4 hrs like clock work ). He got on prednisone, epilim and neurontin straight away and he was already on verapamil. The hits are mostly around Kip5-6 and lasted only around 10-20 mins with oxygen or spray. He had 1 kip 10 the other night, woken up from a deep sleep so it was already raging. It was too late then as nothing seemed to work. Fortunately it only lasted 40 mins.

Overall, its nowhere as bad as last cycle and we are praying that it stays that way for the length of the cycle and that the cycle itself will only be a short one.

God, I hate this stuff !!  :'(

((((HUGS))))) I still can't get used to how this just creeps up and makes life a living hell for the sufferer and anyone close by. Hang in there!

Just saw this Annette.  Sorry to hear you are back in the trenches.  But I'm so happy to see you sticking by Daniel.  Supporters like you are the rocks we cling to in the storm.

Good luck...

Thank you so much everyone for your kind support and wishes. It was very uplifting to come here and find so many friends are thinking of us.

This cycle has been easier for both of us to cope with as we had learnt so much from here. Thank you DJ, thank you guys !  :-*

Daniel is going to try suboccipital injection, like Micheal Wildhaus and see how well it works for him. Fingers crossed !

Please keep us posted on how the suboccipital injection works out, Annette.  I'll be interested to see whether Daniel's experience with it will be better, worse, or the same as Michael's.

All the best to you folks,

George

Ok, got that out!!!! So sorry Annette.... thought we got that out of the way months ago...

Is he taking melatonin at night -- if not get him on it... (Dr. Granny's advice   :) ) Might help those night hits some.

Big Texas vibes coming your way from Granny and Caleb... for a really short cycle...

Hugs BD
