Amazing stuff and providing relief for 8 days so far.
Here's the regimen: Trial: 25 seeds. H/A broke through 2x in the days that followed. Trial 2: 40 Seeds. 8 Days H/A free.. Felt some constriction yesterday and dosed another 40 last night. More constriction this AM in the immediate post-dose timeframe but am quite hopeful. For the record, as a chronic I have not gone 8 PF days in likely more than 6 years. Certainly these seeds are the beginning of a beautiful friendship, I hope. Many thanks to Redd for her encouragement and all around hipness :) nots |

What are the side effects?
Has anyone tried running after a couple of days of a dose? |
Title: Re: RC shock & awe Post by Pinkfloyd on Jun 3rd, 2008 at 2:36pm LostAgain wrote on Jun 3rd, 2008 at 1:47pm:
Side effects? Well, "without" seeds, 75-80% of the people dosing with seeds, mushrooms or LSD wouldn't dream of running since workouts often trigger attacks. So, running may actually be considered a side effect of dosing with seeds. Bobw P.S. Hope things are continuing to improve Dave. Chronics can be difficult but any extended periods of pain free time are great indicators of success in the future. |
Title: Re: RC shock & awe Post by LostAgain on Jun 4th, 2008 at 3:42pm
Running helps mine and from what I understand physical activity helps CH not triggers them. Anyway I ask because when on verapamil my endurance goes to $#!+ so I don't take it while I'm training.

Title: Re: RC shock & awe Post by nani on Jun 5th, 2008 at 10:52am
I'm one of the folks triggered by exertion.
The seeds sometimes make my muscles sore for a day or two afterward. Otherwise, I can't think of any reason why they'd slow you down at all. |
Title: Re: RC shock & awe Post by LostAgain on Jun 5th, 2008 at 2:21pm
And two more...
How often do you find you have to take them? How many do you recommend I order? |
Title: Re: RC shock & awe Post by nani on Jun 5th, 2008 at 4:10pm
I'm pretty fortunate. I'm chronic, and find that I only need to dose every 2 or 3 months (unless I'm in a high cycle).
They don't stay fresh forever, so I wouldn't order too many. Maybe enough for 3 or so treatments (should you need that many)at a time. Let us know how things go, OK? pf wishes, nani |

Will do, thank you.

I store my seeds in a small glass jelly jar with a tight screw on lid and keep them in the fridge. They stay fresher quite a bit longer. Don't keep them in the plastic bags they come in.

No luck CH broke through just now. Am I doing something wrong??
I crushed them and then soaked them in water for over 2 hours and then drank everything... |
Title: Re: RC shock & awe Post by Redd on Jun 19th, 2008 at 7:18am
For most people, there is what is called "post dose activity" that can begin the day after dosing and even up to 3 days after dosing, but then things begin to calm back down.
Keep an eye on activity and stick with your headache journal to track it. You can redose in 5-7 days provided you haven't taken any of the contraindicated meds. Just keep with it. Just as with some other meds, it takes a bit to find the right routine for your particular beast. |
Title: Re: RC shock & awe Post by LostAgain on Jun 19th, 2008 at 12:40pm
I see. Is it okay to take imitrex after dosing?
Thanks for the help. You guys are being amazingly helpful answering all my questions. |
Title: Re: RC shock & awe Post by Redd on Jun 19th, 2008 at 4:17pm
Will it hurt you? No. Will it help? I don't know for sure. Would I recommend it? NO!
As you know you need to detox for days before trying to "bust". To introduce the other meds back into your system starts you right back at square one having to detox once again. O2 only to abort between doses. |
Title: Re: RC shock & awe Post by tommyD on Jun 19th, 2008 at 5:16pm
Many folks have found using Imitrex or other triptans after dosing does seem to interfere with the Clusterbuster method.
But many folks have used taurine energy drinks as an abortive while using clusterbusters as a preventive with good success. Chug at least one can (1000 mg taurine) as quickly as possible at the very first sign of a hit. And as Redd said, getting hit after dosing is very common - in fact you can pretty much count on it. Stick to O2 and/or taurine, and the hits should fade. Patience is the key. -tommyD |

Got it. So if I did take an injection this morning, I should probably count on having to dose again in a bit?

Not neccesarily. Wait and see. Sometimes the wait and see is the hardest part. Rules say you should never mix triptans. |
Title: Re: RC shock & awe Post by MJ on Jun 20th, 2008 at 12:27am
Congratulation Nots hope life becomes only pleasure and no pain.
Let us know how and if the seeds are still helping. |
Title: Re: RC shock & awe Post by Redd on Jun 20th, 2008 at 7:30am
Just remember to detox for at least 5 days before trying to dose again to gain the fullest benefit rom the seeds. Dose on an empty stomach, and be sure your last meal is no closer than 2 hours prior and free from any fats. Then wait 2 hours after you dose to eat anything.
Good luck and keep us posted. |
Title: Re: RC shock & awe Post by LostAgain on Jun 23rd, 2008 at 2:22pm
Starting to feel a difference. Most hits I have been able to abort, and the few that I haven't had anything to abort with were very mild, slightly painful, but no one around would have known I was getting hit. Very excited. :D
Going to dose again in a day or two. |
Title: Re: RC shock & awe Post by nani on Jun 23rd, 2008 at 2:29pm LostAgain wrote on Jun 23rd, 2008 at 2:22pm:
I'm glad to see you're noticing some difference. :) I notice that often, things settle down even more as time goes by. You could dose again (at your 5 day mark) or, you could play it by ear and see how things go over time. Continued pf wishes to you, nani |
