Dape, Julie, Joshie and Kayleigh!

Dape and family, me, Jasper and my friend Michelle and her kids all went to a local butterfly and wildlife park.

The kids had a wonderful time and we even had some sunshine before the rain came. That didn't stop the fun though! Michelle and I still acted the goat and we all sat to watch a birds of prey display which was just incredible.

Anyhow, I thought you would like to see some pics.

It was so good to see Dape, Julie and the kids again, I love my days with them so much. I'm going to see them again soon - need my fix! :)

Well we survived somehow :-? :)

Helen was on her best behaviour all day :o as if you would believe that and if she had been i would have thought there was something wrong with her ;)

The only bad thing about the day was that it had to end, it always seems to be the case that whenever we get together there just isn't enough hours in the day but i am sure that w will be doing it again soon.

Oh my goodness Linda I remember that pic of you on that kiddi-car now that you mention it! Anyone makes any short jokes, you go for the ankles and I'll kneecap 'em! ;)

I haven't heard from Ting Tong in forever - I think he's face down in a gutter somewhere (again!) ;D

I'm ALWAYS nice to Dape, I must be 'cos he keeps coming back for more and anyway, I can't be rotten to him when I like Julie Joshie and Kayleigh so much now can I?!

I have to say though that one of the highlights for me was the Bald Eagle. That was the first I've ever seen and it was so wonderful, I had taken Jasper to the toilet and got back just as it was starting so couldn't move through to where Dape and Julie were sat. We were stood at the end of the display and Dape said when he saw where I was he grinned. They "fly" the birds into the display area and it flew low right over me, I didn't even hear it coming, it just flew right over us.. I had a lump in my throat I can tell you. There is something quite phenomenal about seeing such a beautiful bird fly. Especially when my chances of seeing one outside is so remote.

I'll be remembering that for a very long time :)
