Title: Should I be here Post by Peter_scott on Jun 23rd, 2008 at 5:46am
Hi my name is Peter and I am new here, and am in my 40s Male and live in the UK. I am not positive if I have CH.
Since I was a teenager I have suffered from bad Migraines, about once a week or every other week, I never used meds but went to bed and just wished I could die, migraines run in the family. Anyway fast forward a few years, about 5 years ago my HA changed, the HA became far less severe but on a daily basis. The pain was mainly over my right eye (eye brow area) and RH temple. It was like a alarm clock, rarely did I get it when I woke but come 10:30 in the morning I could feel it coming on, and it would last a few hours then leave me drained. I also noticed the my eye watered and my eye lid looked a bit droopy? OK I went to see a neurologist a HA specialist, he did 100s of tests, CT, MRI, MRI/C hearing tests blood tests you name it all normal. His diagnosis complicated migraines. My symptoms lasted about 3 months, some days no HA then it became a week without then gone for 3 years! I still got occasional Migraines but not the daily headaches. A year went by and they all started again for no reason, I visited my GP but did not take any meds the headaches where culpable. Twelve weeks and they vanished, until about a week ago, then all the daily headaches came back. My question is this is it possible these sound like cluster headaches, and is it possible to have both cluster and migraine HA or can Migraine headaches evolve into cluster HA. Sorry to be so long winded, Peter |

I'd say, if you experience them as less severe than a classic migraine, they are not CH.
