I thought yall were supposed to support one another, not talk shit. thats all I've been getting today , alot of shit talking. If I wanted to hear that I'd go talk to my parents. All I've done is as questions because I'm curious and I want to find relief from this pain thatt makes my want to take my life on an hour to hour basis. The only thing that stops me is my beautiful girlfriend and my awsome 8 yr old son, who needs his father. So stop giving me shit and give me a break, Ok?

Take it easy chris. We are here to help, but we are not doctors and cant perscribe you the meds, you need to get a good neuro and get the propper treatment. When you do this we can help by telling you just from experiecnce what meds have worked for us. The only questions from you I have seen is weed witch is no good for most of us and Topamax witch you only took one dose of and its used as a preventive not an abortive one dose wont help, but to answer the topamax question is that it helps some and not others everyone is different. The only advice I can give from your posts is get to the doctor dont smoke weed and the best starting meds are o2, Imitrex injections and Verapamil, and read, read, read any of your questions can be answered by doing a search if you can find an answer make a post and we will gladly try to help.

Its been 20 yrs. and countless ignorant docs. None of them know what to do. All they have done for me for 20 yrs is start me on vicotin and valiumn at age 12 and work me up to oxycontin and xanx by the time I was 21. I don't know what else to do. I go to the ER, get 5mg of dilaudid, walk out, and drive myself home. And the doc think I'm a junkie cuz my tolarance is so high from all the years of taking opiates. My brain has been "re-wired" as they have told me. I will NEVER be the same again, never. And it sucks for me. So do you see my frustration??? I can't eat because I might trigger a headache, I can't sleep because I'll wake in the middle of the night with one. I've already lost 15 lbs. this cycle. Do I need to keep going? I can't spend time with my son because he knows when I start pacing that to "be quiet because daddy's head hurts". What kind of life is this??? Its not a life, its not even an existance.

Your not alone most of us have been through tons of doctors to find the right treatment that works for us. I've been there taking 20 oxycodone a day and still not being able to sleep because they would only last for about an hour in my messed up body, opiates suck for ch but most doctors dont know how to treat ch and its up to us to educate the, print out what you can and take it to the doctor. Theres also a link that will help you find a doctor in your area I couldn't find it Im in a hurry and heading out the house so maybe someone else can post that link.

I didn't read your earlier post and you've deleted it now so I can't. However by everyone's reaction I'd say you ruffled a few feathers by suggesting that THC might be the answer to your problems.

In my experience it isn't.

The other day you posted and I took the time to give you some links. I've taken the liberty of including it again. Have you read through the information yet? If not, why not?

You said yourself that all you've been perscribed are narcotics. The answer isn't narcotics. You know that better than I do.

The answer is somewhere in the list of links I provided. We can show you where the water is but we can't make you drink it.

I've never heard of the drugs you are taking so I took a few minutes to look them up. These are not preventative medications for treating CH. You're on a muscle relaxer and morphine. The muscle relaxer won't do crap for a CH attack and the morphine only make you care about the pain less. Plus its addictive as hell.

This naturally leads me to a question... Were you diagnosed with CH by a Neurologist?

Dang....I had this well-thought out post that took me 20 mins to type and it got lost in never-never land.

Chris....This site exists for support and information. It doesn't exist to give anyone shit. Your original post which you deleted was as lame as they come (saying you're in college so you CAN smoke pot. As if it was a God-given right) certainly DID ruffle feathers. I'm glad you deleted it.

You have been given some very good links to read. I don't know why you haven't... but know this! Knowledge is power around here. Doctors have to be educated since this is such a rare condition it is up to you and no one else, to know what you're talking about when it comes to YOUR treatment.

I cannot believe that any Doctor would prescribe narcotics of the type you were given at 12 f-ing yrs. old????????without having his license pulled immediately. That is criminal in my opinion. Narcotics have no place in the treatment of CH. NONE!!!!! but certainly not in a child.
