i was wondering if lithum carbonate is going to make me fail a drug test? Do anyone know if this is a problem for getting a job?

NO, not even the mass spec test..

Do not tell them you are on it, or they will think you are bi-polar. :-X

I'm in law enforcement, have been for 29 years. I carry a gun while on lithium and the county signed off on it. The doseage we use for CH doesn't zomby you out.

Just a word of caution, if you have a class II license, or whatever they call commercial license where you are, careful about revealing that you are on lithium. I did that and my license was immediately revoked pending medical clearance! I couldn't drive for a week until my doctor wrote a letter clearing it up! ;D
