Any Saturday or Sunday works for us.  I think Kelly picked the location last time, and I picked the date, tag ---- someone else is up.  I really don't care, within 2-3 or so hours would be good.  Jenn, I have no idea where you are or what may be within travel distance for you in NC.

Bill, if we do this, or rather when we do this, I will try to put together some readable info for the next venture.  Maybe we can start looking at it.

But we aren't restricted to just one get together!  We can have one real soon, then have a big summer party, then have a few more in between.  Who knows, we might even be able to talk DJ and Steph into bringin the boys to play in the yard too.  There's enough yard for a football field, soccer field and a baseball field - and there's a hoop in the driveway!  Hmm...maybe a ch.com track and field party LOL.

Okay, now we're talkin'.  If it's in Asheville it's got to be heaven.  It's where I plan to retire.  Love that place!!!!!!!  Should we bring tents and stuff, or is that going too far??  Cat, are you planning a day trip, or are we all moving in?  It could be like the CH Olympics, and tent park.  Well, I guess you know where my vote is for if we get together this summer.  As for the m&g sooner, whatever the majority wants is fine with us.  I may even get Rick to come.  Chuck, you can even grab his ass, if you can find it.  Of course, I don't know if you are into that kind of thing or not.

Adam's birthday is Sunday and we were just talking about taking him to Asheville.  Of course, I haven't run this past him yet, so we will just wait and see what he wants.

Tents are more than welcome Louise!  I figure it's going to be a bit of a drive for some, so the easiest way to solve that is to have everyone camp out if they want.

There are tons of hotels in Asheville proper (I'm just outside of the city) and lots of bed and breakfasts around for anyone who doesn't fancy camping.

As long as there's not fire ban on, we'll have a big bonfire down by the pond at the firepit, and there's a whole little area to set up for picnics on the other side of the pond across our little bridge.  But besides that area, there's more than enough yard space to set up CH Olympics as well as lots of room for tents/campers.

We just have to decide on when we want to do it, and see how many folks are interested in joining us :)

Hey guys I'm a newbie and Chuck recruited me to the M&G.  I am interested depending on the time and place.  I live in Raleigh and I confess I vote for a more central location but keep me posted.  

OK, no one is stepping up with a location, then I will!

We are going to meet in Raleigh, this time, and it will be on March 28th!  

I will do some scouting around and find a restaurant to go to!

I think that is about 3 hours for us.  I'm ready to party.  When you give us a location, I will see what hotels might be near by.  I may not have a designated driver anymore.  Adam had a couple of drinks, for the first time in years, and NO CH!!!!  Very happy for him, but cuts my DD availability down.

You have no idea how much I am looking forward to this.  Maybe it's not actually the people, maybe it was the way you grabbed my ass.

Well, the ch.com olympics are not dead, just likely delayed.  I had in mind the weekend of June 19th;  Except getting here is a real hassle now with the bridge out and no idea of when it will be finished.

Then, 2 days ago, a potential MAJOR issue resurfaced - Mama bear and her cubs have returned - they like our pond for some reason :-/

Also, with my Mom having been sick and an unplanned travel expense, might mean having to reschedule.  If everyone who is interested can let me know, I can get a better idea of the numbers, and then of course we can work out a good date for everyone?

Well I'm waiting on the meteorologist to tell me when a beautiful fall display weekend would work.  So far he's not co-operating. On the plus side, I have lots of sleeping bags and lots of room to put people.  Question is date and timing.  Might be best to do a spring ch.com olympics and meet in Raleigh or Charlotte for now.  Life keeps throwing kinks in the works here *sigh*.

Anyone like badminton, volleyball, baseball, football, basketball, croquet, lacrosse or any other sport you can think of for an olympics?  Oh and we can't forget horseshoes and of course the mandatory bonfire :)

How about soccer??  From doing conventions in Asheville, I know that the best time is usually October.  Unfortunately, I am going to be gone from September 29 - October 15.  Going to visit the family again on the free airline tickets I got.

Spring in Asheville is nice too.  Sounds like we would have a lot more entertainment at your place than in Raleigh.  I know it would be entertaining for all of you to watch me fall on my ass, pull muscles, break stuff and on, and on, and on.  Sure wish I still had my gymnastic body.  I can't remember who I gave that to :o

As usual, I am up for it, IF I am in-state.  Right now I am in Florida, on business.  What looked like a week's trip is now looking more and more like a multiple weeks' trip.

And then once I am done here, I will probably be sent to either Texas or Maryland.

With any luck, I WILL get to see what North Carolina looks like.

He's actually trying to check the climatology data for October - just a bit anal - but I suppose since he's working at the 14th Wx Sq and the NCDC he can at least pretend to do something useful LOL.

I can't believe October is almost here ugh!  My mother is planning to visit - yet again - we'll see if that one falls through or not, so I can't set a date until I know what the devil she is planning on doing.

Word of warning, while I was once a registered life guard, I WILL NOT fish you out of the pond if you fall in when the bears show up :P

I can likely make any weekend and any weather work.
And if it is near Raleigh, I can help with the planning.
I would certainly offer my house....we had a great time last time...what was that...4 years ago??  But I am not in that house anymore...and my new one is much much smaller...so we would be on top of each other....hhhmmmmm.....
It's truly a zoo here.....
kids, cats, dogs.....and grandma!
But if ya'all don't expect too much...and can lend a hand when you get here with food, cleaning up and all.....we could do another weekender here....I have a big front porch to gather on....kick back, watch the deer....
