It has been 9 days since i have started my "cocktail" of topamax, lithium, and verapamil.  Things were going so well and I had gone six days without a ch.  I was excited; I thought this was it!  On Thursday I ventured out with my children for a birthday shopping spree.  I knew by the the time we started home things weren't going to end well.  Facial pain and small headaches came and went, the dripping eyes and nose grew worse.  Day 13 the beast broke in and paid me a visit. He entered at his daily time, 4pm.  Oh, he was sure to let me know that he was coming, that he never really left, I only had him locked out for a bit.  I hope to lock him out again even if it is for just a week.  I still treasure that week without the pain and the day I got to spend outside this prison with my children. It was a wonderful time.

Prevents aren't a 100% guarantee...for me they'll block 60-70% of my attacks. Don't give up hope on your prevent. 6 pain free days...that rocks. ;)
