Title: The future of BOL
Post by Pinkfloyd on Oct 31st, 2010 at 8:10pm
For those wondering what is happening with research on BOL for clusters here is the latest.

It was felt that the fastest track to getting the followup research funded and completed and getting BOL to the market was to form a new company to do just that. Hoping that one of the large pharmaceuticals would take up the case to replace their existing triptan market isn't likely to happen any time soon, although I'm open to a phone call

A new company called Entheogen has been formed and its first priority is to get the funding needed to bring BOL to market as a cluster headache treatment.

Feel free to stop in at it's new website: START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or RegisterEND PRINTPAGE

Check out the "community" section and please sign up if you want to get updates as well as helping us build a database of cluster sufferers. If you might like to be considered for participation in future studies, please sign up.

If your doctor might like to be involved in getting updates or possibly even acting as a satellite for a study, please pass along the website URL.

Some of this information was disclosed at the 2010 Clusterbuster Conference in Portland. Hopefully by the 2011 conference in Chicago, we'll have even bigger news to break.

This goal of this company is to bring the first ever prescription medication specifically brought to market for cluster headaches. The first ever prescription medication developed to break and/or postpone cluster headache cycles.

This does not effect our research work with psychedelics or any of the other avenues Clusterbusters is working on. We will continue to open every door we can and follow our work wherever it leads.

Congratulations Bob!
and much success to all.

I can only imagine the work that went into putting this all together for all of you involved.
I truly hope its a billion dollar baby.

I imagine a world with 70% less clusters and migraine headaches.

Entheogen was featured in Mass High Tech and The Boston Globe last week.  Both articles were front page and have been at the top of the most emailed list. If you are willing, please take 30-seconds and give Entheogen a vote in the Mass High Tech Startup Watch found on the link below. If Entheogen is selected it could be featured in the 11/16 Startup report.

O.k. where does one vote?   Inthe list where they say to vote for 5,    Entheogen isn't there or at least I can't see it.  When I click on the Entheogen  link it is very short and has no place to click on anything.

I must be missing something..... as usual.

Bob, Are you planning to go public or remain a private company? I'm sure there are many here who would buy into an IPO.

Also, are you able to move from the basic research already done directly to clinical research? The fact that it's already been tested in man is a great jump start.

I'm ready for the for study...sign me up.

Got an email reply from the CEO who invited me to vote, so I did again.  Is Aurora a close enough suburb of Chicago to make that legal? :D

I received an email from Ari Mello, CEO for Entheogen.  He said they came in 2nd out of 10 and will be featured in a newsletter that goes out to subscribers of Mass High Tech.  He also said Entheogen will be featured in Elle, Village Voice, and PBS.  He didn't say when, but I'm sure he will let me know.

Jerry,  did you cast all of your eligible votes?  LOL
