It does rather look as though there are issues with exactly which URL you use to point at the image - particularly with FLICKR it would seem.

The first two tests don't look like image URLs, so the forum is probably removing the IMG link for you. We do something similar (different forum software) to keep the kiddies from posting SWF links in the IMG tags. If the URL doesn't end in .png, .gif, .jpg or .jpeg then we abort it. Again, different host, our rules may be different, Your Mileage May Vary.

When they UPLOAD an image to our server, it goes through an ImageMagick call to sanitize it... what pops out of ImageMagick is sent to storage, which eliminates idiots trying to attach a PHP script to our server. If ImageMagick pukes an error, we abort saving the trash.

Weird.. it allowed me to attach the CNS Tox file IN HERE, but wouldn't let me do it in the thread that needed it.
