Let's pick a place and start planning.

For me personally I wouldn't like to travel too awful much further than Charlotte with my hubby being gone on the road most of the time.  Is that too far for some of you?

Depending on the day, it's usually not a problem. Sundays are best.....

If Charlotte works out.  I need a couple week - few weeks to plan and see if my neighbor will watch the kiddo's.  I just have to give them advance notice :)

Ok!!  Making progress.  Tara, seems you need more arranging time.  My limits are anytime after April 18th.  So, if that makes it easier, go for it girl.  I will attempt to contact pfunk too.

I've never actually been to one!  I met ClusterChuck back in the day.  But I'm very excited too!  I'll be able to give you a date asap.

Chuck is WONDERFUL!!!!!  I sure miss him.  He and Racer were 2 of the people at the first one we went to in Charlotte.  Our lives were changed by that lunch meeting.  Bill, we are looking forward to seeing you again, it's been a long time since Atlanta.  And, also, seeing everyone we haven't met before.

April is pretty much out of the question for me, but early May might work.  Cannot do it weekend of May 18-20 but before or after is great.  Charlotte is about an hour and a half drive more me.  Piece of cake!

Okay, after much research, how about Chili's, address 5521 Westpark Dr., Charlotte, NC 28217.  That is for the benefit of GPS users. 

Adam & I like Chili's a lot.  Had great experience when we were in DC. 

I looked at the reviews of a place called Jock's and Jill's, don't thank that's for us, of from the sounds of it anyone else.

Anyway, let me know what you think.  It would be nice to make reservations for maybe a corner in the bar area.

Okay, M&G set in Charlotte, NC, Sunday, May th Chili's, noonish.

Who's coming?  I would like to try to make reservations in an area where we can have discussions, good food, libations(?), etc.  I will also check to see if they have an outdoor area for the smokers.

Hope we can have several there, but whomever we are, we will have a great time.

this would actually be my first meet and greet.  i have only ever met one other CH sufferer.  whats odd is that the two of us knew each other for years before we both realized the other suffered the same thing...

It's almost time!  I'm so excited!

New faces are always great.  Our first meet and greet was the best thing that ever happened to Adam.  He had never talkes with another CHer.  It got us going and involved.  Haven't stopped since.  That meeting was also in Charlotte and Bill i.e. racer1 was one of the first people we met.  Love that guy!!!!

My hubster is trucking this way.  He's scheduled for home time!  Now we are working on a sitter for our kids.  So it should just be the two of us!

sorry i havent responded in a while, my unit is doing a lot of training.  lately, i go into the field on monday and dont come back until friday morning.

if i can make it, it would be me and my wife.  we should be able to, the only thing i can think of that might stop us would be a last minute 24 hour duty.  it happens quite often.

sorry you missed it.  It is always great to get together.  Adam and I are in Columbia.  We could try for a Charleston M&G.  I love Charleston.

I think a Charleston M&G would be awesome!  I haven't been to Charleston since the hubby and I were dating.

And omg, the choices of food, places to meet, things to see in Downtown would make it an interesting trip for us!

Just one thing from me and hubs: Has to be before October...we will be leaving NC behind then (sniff sniff) and moving to CA.

Welcome RM.  I think our next M&G is gonna be in Charleston, SC.  It's currently in the works in another thread in this section.  That being said, those of us up here in NC would more than likely set up a caravan/carpooling deal to ensure that more people are able to get to the M&G.  I know that we'll be able to carpool another two people from NC to the Charleston M&G and will even have space for O2 canisters in the back (can we say easy access? :D ).

Yeah.. cause Charlotte is "central" for more than one of us.  I'm afraid to commit after my last no show.  But I'm not the only NC'er :)... still not counting myself out though! I used to use (and probably still will again soon) Charleston, SC for a diff kinda of doc a couple of times.  It's not too awful far.  Charlotte is 45 mins or so for me.  SO I'm only speaking for me.
