I am truly saddened by this. What a great guy he was. The Andy Griffith show was one of those programs that just made you feel good, thanks to him and Don Knotts. A wonderful "Americana" feel to it.

What about Otis and Goober...Shame on you Linda ;D ;D...i was at a party Monday night (yes on a Monday) and someone brought up the Andy Griffith show and here he passed away the following day...this was a show that i did enjoy watching growing up

They elected the right guy sheriff, could strum a tune on the front porch, too. Knew his fair play, went on to big city lawyer - one of grandma's favorites. That Opey kid learned a bit.
