I was seen at Stanford Hospital in California Headache Neurology Clinic and they changed two thing. 1) verapamil xr 120 mg #6 in am to verapamil 160 4x a day and 80 at bed time.
2) TX360 injection up the nose into the sphenoid ganglion nerve.
Has anyone found better relief w short acting verapamil spread out? Second has anyone tried TX360 there is a utube video.
Still chronic after 3 years despite D3 regiment.

It's been my experience and that of several other CH'ers, that sphenopalatine ganglion blocks will work for a week to 10 days then fade with the CH returning just like before...  Subsequent SPG blocks are often less effective...

If you're still taking the anti-inflammatory regimen with 10,000 IU/day vitamin D3, have you tried Benadryl (Diphenhydramine)?  An allergic reaction to pollen, (allergic rhinitis), can flood your system with histamine. When that happens, none of the CH methods of intervention work very well.

Benadryl is a first-generation antihistamine that passes through the blood brain barrier to block histamine receptors in brain cells... Second- and third-generation antihistamines cannot do that.

Check with your PCP or neurologist about adding two tablets of Benadryl a day.  One 25 mg tablet in the A.M. and the other 12 hours later. 

The other thing you can ask for is a WBC Differential so they can check your absolute eosinophil count.  If it's significantly over 350, there's a reasonable possiblity you've an allergy.

Eosinophils are a type of white blood cells that start to bloom in the presence of an allergen... or an infection...

Another more accurate test for allergic rhinitis is a nasal smear for nasal eosinophilia.  See the following link for more details:

That is why self administration is key.  twice a day for at least 20 minutes for 2 weeks.  After initial appointment cost is under $1.00  Not a fan of tx360 single use and expensive $75.00. Sphenocath also $75.00 but can be reused at home .  Best choice is continual feed spg blocks with cotton tipped nasal catheters.
