Hey Steady,

Good on you for wanting to start the anti-inflammatory regimen...  It's a decision you'll be glad you made...

Hoppy is spot on with the link he sent you. The VitaminDWiki website is the place to go for all things vitamin D3.  The link Hoppy gave you will take to to an extensive page on the anti-inflammatory regimen.

You can also download the latest version of the anti-inflammatory regimen CH preventative treatment protocol at the following VitaminDWiki link.  Be sure to share a copy with your PCP or neurologist.

START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or RegisterEND PRINTPAGE

If you've a smart phone, scan the following QR code and it will download this same regimen to your smart phone as a ready reference.

If you don't have the QR scanner app on your smart phone, it's free to download and it installs in 10 seconds.

We've several CHers there in the UK taking the anti-inflammatory regimen to prevent their CH.  Most of them order their supplements from the iherb.com website and are careful to keep their orders under 4 lbs to get the best shipping rates.

We've been helping CHers new to this regimen for over six years so we know how to get you through any bumps in the road to a CH pain free existence. Accordingly, sing out if you run into problems or have questions.

Take care and please keep us posted...

V/R, Batch

Hey Steady,

Thanks for the wonderful update.  It's a great feeling isn't it...

If you can find the time, we would like you to take the survey of CHers taking this regimen to prevent their CH.

By taking this survey you help provide the needed medical evidence regarding the efficacy of the anti-inflammatory regimen so more neurologists and headache specialists will introduce it to their cluster and migraine headache patients.

To start this survey, click on the following link:

For non-members paste the following link in your browser then replace the "(DOT)" with a "." period:

www(DOT)esurveyspro(DOT)com/Survey(DOT)aspx?id=fb8a2415-629f-4ebc-907c-c5ce971022f6

If you experience problems taking this survey or want to comment about it, respond to this post.

Take care,

V/R, Batch

Hi Batch...most excellent work!!!

Just to be clear...this is different than the survey? I filled that our years ago...so this
is a follow up?

Guests are invited to participate but links do not work for "non members". Is there a way to
activate the link even for guests?

Best

Jon

Hey Jon,

Good questions and thanks for the headzup about non-members not being able to see the survey link.

This is the same survey that went online in December of 2011.  As of last March, 215 CHers have completed and submitted.  There's another 160 who haven't completed or submitted their surveys so I can't count them in the computations for efficacy or 25(OH)D response.

The survey was intended to be open to CH.com members and guests.  I've made a change to make that happen.

Refresh this page and check the previous post to see what I mean.

Thanks again...  I only wish I'd realized this problem years ago... we could have had more survey participants.

Take care,

V/R, Batch

Hey Steady,
Hopefully the beast is leaving you alone and you are enjoying your holiday.
I am on the D3 regimen for the last 4 years and am pain free 99% of the time. The pain I experience during the 1% is nothing like what i used to experience pre-D3.
When you feel the shadows coming on and you think you're getting an attack you could let 50000iu D3 melt in your mouth to quickly bump up your D3 levels.  It works for some of us.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday, i Hope you're getting plenty of natural D3 in the form of nice bright warm sunshine. The weather here on the green isle is desperate ------> no summer here this year, rain rain rain :( so we'll be heading for 2 weeks in the sun in a couple of weeks :)  can't wait.

All the best

Hi Thierry, Thanks for your reply....im back from my hols now and they seem to have kicked in again...ive been to see the doc today and had a referral to see my neurologist again this Thursday, I'm hoping to get some o2 I will let you know how I get on.  Ive had my 3rd one this afternoon, which is a new one for me I haven't had anymore than 2 in 24 hours ever...so sick of it! just out of interest what do you take in your d3 regime?

Hi Steady,

I take a multi vitamin for the vit a, zinc and boron. It also contains all the B vitamins that Batch recommends. I buy it online from UK, it's the cheapest way for me. Also Biocare is an excellent brand well known for their quality and the high bio-availability of their products.

2600iu vit A, 15mg zinc and 1mg boron.

I get the rest from Iherb.com in the US. It is also for me the cheapest way to get the supplements for the regimen.

I take 500mg calcium citrate, 500mg magnesium, 10000iu Vit D3, 1 softgel superK.

I also take some turmeric powder (anti-inflamatory). i take this not solely for the CH but it is an amazing spice that has a multitude of benefits. I get in in UK too.

Batch recommends that we do a course of a good probiotic as our immune system centre in in our guts. I do a 1 month course of probiotic every few months. Since i do this, even the occasional shadows have reduced in intensity and quantity. I take this one. It is a very good quality.

Thanks Thierry, I will take another look. Ive been to see my neuro today, and told him I was on the D3 regime, he gave me a strange look and said that he doesn't recommend this because its not been put through trials but it was up to me if I wanted to take it  ::) Anyway ive managed to get him to sort some oxygen out on prescription for me so at least I managed to sort that out...Just felt like it was just all so matter of fact and he just wanted his private medical fee and get me out the door  >:(   glad my medical ins is covering the cost!

It's great you got the O2, 15 litres per minute minimum works a treat when you start feeling shadows.

Never mind the doc about the D3, IT WORKS.
the magnesium is magnesium citrate, 400mg is good. you'll find it on iherb too, (the link i posted for it doesn't work).

the other link that doesn't work is for Life extension super K. you can put that in the search box on iherb.

All the best

meant to ask also has anyone heard of pure turmeric curcumin with black pepper extract uk 750mg to be taken with D3 ?? I was reading that it was someone's regime  that worked for them.  sbwire.com was one of the sites it was on, but it wont let me post a link  :-/

Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory. I take it every day as well as the full D3 Regimen.

Doing pretty well on it.

Peter.

Oh that's good news!! I will give it a try  :) What mg do you take a day?

Title: Re: Newbie
Post by Peter510 on Aug 24th, 2017 at 7:51pm
I take 2X400 mg capsules when I'm taking all my D3 & cofactors....with my main meal.

Taking them with food helps with absorption.

If you take them on an empty stomach, or with a light meal,  you are more likely to pass a good percentage of the vitamins & nutrients and not get the full benefit.

Regards,

Peter.

Hey Steady,

Your neurologist is correct that the vitamin D3 Anti-Inflammatory Regimen has not been through a registered RCT... That said, I've been running an online survey of CHers taking this regimen since December of 2011. The results are at the following link.

START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or RegisterEND PRINTPAGE

I posted this treatment protocol on 21 January, 2017.  As of the 21st of August, readers of this web link have downloaded 2920 copies.

You can also scan the following QR code with your smart phone and it will download a pdf copy of the treatment protocol to your phone.  The QR Scanner app is free.  It takes less than 10 seconds to download and install.

Thanks Batch, its worked for me until the beginning of this month, but I also suffer with a lot of sinus trouble and I'm currently in the middle of a nasty nasal infection...im back off to the Drs in a hour to hopefully get some antibiotics to sort it out, I'm wondering if that's the reason I'm getting the breakthrough clusters?? ahhh it never ends does it :(

Title: Re: Newbie
Post by thierry on Aug 25th, 2017 at 8:31am
Steady, i remember Batch mentioning that infections gobble up D3 so we need to increase our D3 intake during that time. It is quite likely that you would benefit from taking 50000iu d3 per day for 3 or 4 days.
All the best

Yes Thierry ive thought of doing that, ive had my bloods taken today, so I will see what the d3 comes back as.  The doc said she would test for calcium and d3, also got some antibiotics for the infection and a nasal spray for the rhinitis...hopefully it will sort me out  [smiley=dankk2.gif]
