Title: Connection is not secure?
Post by LasVegas on Jun 3rd, 2017 at 1:48am
As I was logging in tonight entering password, I received an error warning message reading "“This connection is not secure. Logins here could be compromised.”

Does anybody else get this warning when logging in? ::)

Which browser are you using?

Firefox, which i've used for many years, no new changes on my end, but this error message is something recently noticed when signing into CH website.

Firefox has started to do this or similar for websites that include password fields on non-HTTPS pages, which is all part of their push to get all websites to move away from HTTP to HTTPS.

START PRINTPAGEMultimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or RegisterEND PRINTPAGE

So it isn't that the forums are insecure, more that the browser is trying to help push them to be even more secure.

That's comforting to read, thanks for sharing Mike.

frustrating to see this insecure message every time I log in though...wondering if this is only happening to Firefox browsers signing in to ch.com?

With Firefox if you get it to remember your sign in then you won't see it every time. Obviously only do that with a PC that you're happy to keep yourself signed in.

Same here!
Firefox 64 bit version 54.0.1, shows me the same message and does not "remember" me at all! It used to, but changed in a recent update...
But I am running "HTTPS everywhere" and a bunch of others, some sites seem to have a dummy spit over these browser extensions.
