I suffer from CH and I also seem to be operating 2 degrees higher than everyone else. When in a group I am usually the only one complaining of being too hot so I am the problem. I have wondered if my temperature spike could in any way be related to CH?

Possibly, but then it could be something else too. As with most stuff the best route forward is to discuss this with your GP. It could be you've a bug or down to your hypothalamus or something else.

Yes the temperature issue is an ongoing thing. For quite a  long time. Spoke to GP but she did not seem to have any answers.

I have always been like that, wearing tee shirts when everyone else is wrapping up.

Never thought about it in connection with CH though. Maybe there is a connection.  ???

Hmmm.  Interesting theory.
I was always a cold person - heating on full blast and several layers of clothes.  Even in bed I wore PJs, dressing gown, winter duvet and throw.

In the last 10 years I've changed drastically.  Now sleep in nothing but a thin summer duvet with a window wide open ( even in winter)  and I'm still too hot.

10 years ago is when my CH started.

Pretty much most of my life I have always been immune to cold, although my temperature was always normal. I'd wear a tshirt and others would be wearing 3 layers to keep warm.

So this predates my CH by a few decades. But maybe it have been an early indication of CH?

Just returning to Graemel's topic, though, you've gotta admit the drenching gave you some small respite from the monster so perhaps temperature is truly an aspect to be considered.

I'm the same way! I'm always too hot while everyone else seems just fine.

Being overheated is a major trigger for me too, so I have a cooling scarf that I wear at work meetings and presentations. It makes a huge difference for me.

Heat sensitivity is also a big thing for fibromyalgia and MS, so maybe its a nerve thing?  :-?

G'day, Matt,  and welcome.  I've heard that comment many times and a lot of CHeads immediately seek coolth on getting hit.  Head in the air-con,  in a snow drift,  that sort of thing.

Others leap into a boiling hot shower so goodness knows what's really going on,  so long as it works for you.

I've actually found that drinking an iced drink way to fast (which produces "brain freeze") gives me just a few seconds of relief from the CH pain!!

I had my first visit from the beast during Autumn, when I was living in Scotland, and it was freezing cold.

I forgot to update on this. I finally solved the issue. It was the medications that raised temperature by making it harder to get blood to the skin. This was made worse by GP wrongly putting me on statins and aspirin for age related matters. The meds worked against each other. Now I am on reduced meds and off statins and aspirin my temperature is almost normal. So there is hope. :)
