Title: Treatments give mixed results on headaches
Post by mike_s on Aug 17th, 2021 at 8:51pm
Yesterday I began having a headache on the right side of my head which first was next to my eye then the pain moved to behind my temple. I would say its a cluster headache,

So then I tried a whole host of things. Since I couldn't sleep last night, I ate two whole cans of beans to make my fiber levels decent.

I then tried webber naturals magnesium citrate 150mg about once an hour for a few hours. It kinda nulled my headache but some pain was still there.

I also tried jamieson vitamin B-50 and jamieson vitamin B-12 100mcg both yesterday and today. They didn't do much. I added one 100mg co-enzyme Q10 from Life brand.

I also drank water like crazy and hit the washroom hourly on average because maybe I had something toxic in me because before these headaches started, I recently had two large fruit cups and one ingredient in them is ascorbic acid. Maybe I'm allergic to it, idk.

Now fast forward to today. I continued with water but not as much. I added another vitamin B-50 and B-12 (same bottles).

But here's the thing that really got to me about today:

I went to the grocery store for foods that could help me. Inside the store, my headache almost cleared up by itself but its still dull-like. (I'm guessing with covid season going on, the store installed specialized air systems. HVAC?).

Before and after the store, I was biking and the headache was a bit more intense but thankfully not intense enough where I have to stop biking completely, but I biked slower than normal.

Once I returned home, I tried a juice full of berries and 1/2 a banana. Turned out that when I was drinking it, my headache intensified. The same happened earlier in the day when I ate 1/2 a banana. I never had a reaction to bananas before this headache episode started.

One thing that helped mostly was eating a bag of chipits dark chocholate chips. I picked the brand with the highest iron content and nearly ate the whole bag. My breathing was a bit better and headache was duller for the most part.

I then took another magnesium and my headache kinda got worse again. Then I took vitamin D3+K2 combo, and based on online sources, I may be under (because usually I take 2000 IU but today I took 7000 IU) Each tablet is 1000 IU vitamin D and 120mcg K2 in coconut oil.

One thing that helped right after is a glass of milk. Makes me wonder if I'm protein deficient.

I also tried a glass of carrot juice for vitamin A but that did nothing.

Both days I sniffed peppermint and rubbed some on my temple. That did nothing.

I also tried my own netipot experiment and that didn't help either

I don't want to go to the doctor because mask mandates are in effect and I'm not ready to suffocate in the doctor's office for maybe an hour just for an answer, and besides I need a natural solution.

What else can I try to get rid of my headache for good?

Headaches are invariably a sign that something is wrong and it's terrifically important they be checked out by a doctor,  preferably a headache specialist,  to ensure it's nothing serious.

It might be an hour in the waiting room but that may well be a worthy investment in your future.

you might try coffee at the fist sign of the headache drink it as fast as you can and as hot as you can.If you have a/c in your place or even in your car put it to the coldest and breath that in for a quick fixes.

Hey Mike,

After 10 years providing information outreach on the benefits of taking the anti-inflammatory regimen with at least 10,000 IU/day vitamin D3 plus the vitamin D3 cofactors illustrated in the following photo of what I take and suggest to other CHers, it's a safe bet you are vitamin D3 deficient.  That deficiency is contributing to the frequency, severity and duration of your headaches.

If you really want to take control of your CH try taking two of the Bio-Tech D3-50 50,000 IU water soluble vitamin D3 capsules/day and 0.5 mL/day of the Micro D3 liquid nanoemulsion for five (5) days by 60 to 70 ng/mL above the starting 25(OH)D3 baseline serum concentration, then drop back to an initial maintenance dose of two (2) Bio-Tech D3-50 capsules per week.  The Micro D3 is taken sublingual.  Squire Swish the contents of the dropper under your tongue and keep your mouth open for at least 1 full minute.  This helps direct absorption into the blood stream and bypasses the GI tract for a much faster response.

You can buy both at amazon.com for the best price.

This has proven to be a very safe and effective vitamin D3 loading schedule that elevates 25(OH)D3 serum concentrations in 5 to 6 days with better than 86% of CHers trying it experiencing a favorable response with a significant reduction in the frequency of their CH from a mean of 3 CH/day down to 3 CH/week and 54% of CHers experiencing a complete cessation of their CH, both within the first 30 days.  The following charts from the study that's been running continuously since December of 2011, illustrate the 25(OH)D3 response and favorable responses by day after starting this treatment protocol by 313 study participants.

See your PCP/GP to discuss this loading schedule and obtain lab tests of your serum 25(OH)D3, calcium and PTH.  You'll need a second set of these labs 30 days after starting this treatment protocol

Take care and please keep us posted.
