The difference between a beer & your opinion is that I asked for a beer.

Big grass fire approaching the homestead and the creeks were dry, the dams were dry, the tanks were dry. All I had was beer.

Took me three days to get the fire out because a man can only drink so fast.

IPA a lot when I drink beer ;D

My Grandfather loved his Guinness. Beer in a Tuxedo, he called it.

He lost an eye in the war, and later he got a glass eye. Only, he had two made....one clear and one bloodshot.

When he was going to the pub, he would put the bloodshot eye in, and announce that he would not be home until both eyes matched.

Peter,  I suspect your grandfather would like the way I make a Beef & Guinness pie.  I cook the stew very dark indeed and put it into a genuine Guinness pint glass to a bit over 3/4 full then top it with white and fluffy mashed potatoes as the head.

Served on a Guinness beer mat,  of course.

I do the same myself. The Guinness adds a nice depth of flavor to the stew.

Fight it we did,  and we won!  Even if it did take three days.

I mean,  it takes a while to chill and drink the stuff first.

Its a good job, it wasn't! The pub with no beer.
