I have not had a major cluster headache bout for five years. I am trying the D3 regime and GammaCore vagus stimulator (arriving tomorrow). I will report back on that. But I also wanted to line up a neurologist in case I need further help. The neurologist I used to see is no longer practicing in our area.

Does anyone here have a recommendation for the Raleigh-Durham area? Your help is greatly appreciated :) :) :) :)

Thank you. That is very helpful. Apparently it is a 2-month wait for new patients. And must be referred by my general practitioner who seems set on referring me to somewhere else. But I will keep at it. I appreciate your recommendation so much :)

At one time we had a "patient recommended" list here on CH.com, it's been a while since it's been active. However, from my old copy I have the following Drs that were recommended for the list....

Dr. Rhonda W. Gabr in Raleigh
Dr. David Konanc in Raleigh
Dr. Timothy Alan Collins in Durham

My personal recommendation is Dr. Finkel and that's who I would see in the RDU area. I know him so I can say that safely. The others above, I can only say that someone thought enough of them to have them placed on the list. YMMV....

Good luck in your quest....finding a good Doc can be rough.

Good news. My general practitioner agreed to refer me to Dr. Finkel. However, it may take a while before I can get in for an appointment. At least I have some treatment options going for now :) :)
