i was just telling my wife how i would LOVE to meet someone else "like me", but we cannot make it to the OUCH convention. i SURE would like to meet up with anyone near us in the ST. There was talk at the OUCH Convention of us swtiching or annual "DAVCON" Gathering to either St. Louis or Indy.. St. Louis is no further than Davenport for me and Indianapolis is even closer. I've checked out a few hotels in St. Louis. Even with Missouri not being a no smoking state, many of the hotels have adopted no smoking policies. Some are completely smoke free, others have a certain number (very few) of smoking rooms available, but no smoking in the bar or common areas. One hotel I looked into has smoking allowed in the bar area of the on site restaurant, but not in the hotel bar.

Seems the entire country is going to be smoke free soon. If we all quit, where do you think the government will find the tax dollars to replace all that revenue lost? Nevermind.......a rant for another post.

Wherever it ends up being, smoking or non, I'll be there.

From experience in setting up a meet-n-greet, quit talking about it and DO it! You can end up talking about it forever, and never get to meet each other. You NEED to meet! There is nothing like meeting fellow ~~brain damaged freaks~~ clusterheads.

The way to do it, is whoever is in the central area, pick a restaurant, and then a date, and go for it! You will never find a date where everyone can meet, so just pick one, and go with it. You can always meet the others, at another meet-n-greet.

Have MANY of them!

Have fun at your gathering ... BUT remember the cardinal rule .....

PICTURES are a MUST!!!
