Seriously, many many genres of music.. depends on the mood.

But what is rocking my boat anytime I hear that smooth mellow voice and see those sexy brown bedroom eyes baby... wooooh... Michael Buble

OK, ok!

All y'all made me dig through You Tube to find some of MY favorites!

I have a fairly eclectic taste in music.  I love opera, Broadway show tunes, OLD country music, pre-Beatles rock and roll, and of course classical music!

As for old country, no one can make me cry, like this one of Red Sovine’s LONG list of great songs:

Then of course there is the unforgettable voice of Mama (she HATED that term) Cass Elliot:
Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

And remember the WONDERFUL songs of Peter, Paul, and Mary?  This is one of my favorites of theirs, but it is SO hard to pick only ONE of their songs:
Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!!  You need to Login or Register

Another song that brings tears to my eyes, but tears of pride and patriotism, is Lee Greenwood’s classic:

This BoyZone song we had played at my son’s wedding.  The words are AWESOME!   (It also doesn’t hurt that there are some REAL cute singers!)

And then, something different, what musical piece was written with church bells and cannons as instruments?   Does the name Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky ring any bells?   Seiji Ozawa does a marvelous job of conducting this, but nothing beats seeing Arthur Fiedler perform this live on July 4th concert on the Esplanad!

Ok, enough of MY rambling on about my type of music …

Chuck.

Thank goodness for you ladies! I LOVE country, too! Smiley

I loved classical music as a child, the loved pop, then rock and now I'm into country. I have lots of country records from Brooks & Dunn to Trisha Yearwood. And I just ordered some more... Grin

Timo brought me nicely country records when he was in New York in April. And when I'll travel to America one day, I'll be bringing lots of more country cds as souvenirs... Smiley

This is one great song to fight the beast with:

Basically metal, especially Scandinavian bands like Dissection (Godz!), Dark Tranquility, Arch Enemy, old Mayhem, old Satyricon etc etc.
Another fave of mine is the from Israel originating band Melechesh, love the way they bland in those middle eastern rhythms and melody structures into ripping black thrash!

Furthermore I like some down to the bone rock'n roll, such as our Aussie friends from AC/DC and Rose Tattoo.

Classic rock when in the mood.

I will listen to and enjoy just about anything.

Off the top of my head:

The Beatles
Dropkick Murphys
Street Dogs
The Briggs
Led Zeppelin
The Who
Social Distortion
Jaco Pastorius and any of his projects
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Pink Floyd
The Pogues
U2
Northern Room

Basically, name anything, chances are, I'll like it.  Grin
