Guy goes into hospital to have his leg amputated.

When he wakes up the DR says 'Mr Smith we have good news and bad news'

'Oh doc give me  the bad news first'

'Well Mr. Smith I'm afraid we amputated the wrong leg'

'Oh my God what;s the good news?'

'The good news is  - the other one's getting better'

OR

Guy wakes up in hospital after being in a road accident and the Doc says there is good news and bad -

'the bad news is we had to amputate both of your legs'

'what's the good news?'

'The guy in the next bed wants to buy your slippers'
