Hell, when Barb was up on the table doing her imitation of a sexy naked dance (it WASN'T one, BELIEVE me on this) she had to tie her knockers in knots to keep from tripping on them!

NOT a pretty sight!!!   <shudder>

What a wonderful time!

I can't find the proper words to express what I was feeling at this years O.U.C.H. convention. Seeing everyone that  I met last year made it feel like a family reunion. Meeting the new folks for the first time made my heart sing.
Everyone left a lasting impression.

I did a small impromptu study which involved 10 clusterheads the findings are quite remarkable and I think it warrants further study...

Out of the 10 clusterheads who groped my butt, my left butt cheek was grabbed 9 times and my right butt cheek only once.

9 out of 10 clusterheads prefer the left butt cheek.

George.. I was lucky enough to win the auction of Ellen's beautiful piece of artwork and I will have it matted and framed shortly. I am a little disappointed however that it was not signed... so, next year when you and Ellen attend the convention if she would be so kind... I would appreciate her signature. Smiley

I finally arrived home on Monday morning... my flight from Dallas to Philly never made it on time so I had to reschedule a flight for 8 hours later in the morning. The good news is I was PF the whole night.

Hopefully soon I will post some info that I was able to acquire while at this years convention.

with warm regards,
Tony

Ellen will be thrilled to hear that you won her drawing, Tony.   Smiley  If you look closely at the extreme right side of the branch, on the top side of it, I think she scrawled her name there.  But I'll be sure to have her sign it again when we come to the next convention (crossing my fingers).

Just FYI, she told me last night that she wished she had sprayed it with fixative, because the Prismacolor pencils that she used tend to flake waxy bits.  If anyone has fixative around, I'm sure that you do.

Glad to hear that you had a wonderful time.  It sounds as if Dalcon was a convention to remember.

All the best,

George

Well....I finally made it home about 3 am this morning. Another great convention is over.

I'll try not to get too long winded here but there are some thoughts that must be expressed.....

First off......I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel that has the customer focus like this one does. Every member of the staff I came in contact with all week was friendly and helpful. The rooms were well kept, the food was great, and the service was top notch.

Many thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make this years gathering a complete success. I know the level of commitment and hard work that goes into pulling off a OUCH gathering. I saw more than a few tired but happy faces on Saturday night. Thanks to all of you, you "done good". I'd be remiss if I also didn't give a big thank you to Linde for all they did for us this year.....thanks guys!

Each convention I've attended has been special in it's own way.....it's own set of memories and experiences. For me, it's impossible to say one year is better than another. It's always great to see old friends, and meet the new additions to our family. I will say this one will hold a place in my mind that is like no other......and leave it at that.

Most of you know there are usually a few die hards that stay until Monday, this year it was just LadyLuv and myself. I finally left the Hotel after lunch with Ruthie Monday and had a couple of hours to kill before heading to DFW for the trip home. With the home of the Cowboys just a few miles down Airport Freeway, That's where I headed. This coming season will be the last for the old stadium and not knowing if I'd make it down for a game this year I thought one last visit was in order.

I'm already looking forward to next year.....DavCon....where ever it ends up and the 09 OUCH gathering. I can't wait.....

I just lost a whole frickin' post!  Sarah and I had a blast.  She made some new friends, I got to see a lot of old friends (and that, my dears, is a real double entendre), and meet some new clusterheads.
I am planning on coming to the one next year, the good Lord willing and the creek don't rise.  Maybe next year, Beeyul and I can sit down and talk about photography in depth.

Well, on to the pictures (they are all uploaded now, at least I think they are).

Tony notices a strange woman is yelling at them and decides to acknowledge her just in case she's important (I was leaning over the railing on the balcony of my 7th floor room).

This one is for Pat.  While doing the Riverwalk in San Antonio...I saw this Mannequin in a store window and totally thought of you..

This convention was so emotional for me.   Getting the KIP award and Family service award,  meeting Dr. Goadsby,  having to do a presentation as well as a FS report...(and being scared)  hearing that Helens, mine and Bills presentations really made an impact,  The Linde people, CC's generosity, meeting newcommers and watching them experience what I did 9 yrs. ago...it was remarkable.

Linda, who is sitting in a Motel still in Texas, with tears in her eyes.
