I'm glad she's home... feel better, Pat.  Kiss

I knew something just didn't seem right, going from jello, broth and sorbet to big, honkin' German wurst...

All the best for a speed recovery Pat! It's so much easier to recover at home than in the strange environment of a hospital. Make sure those men-folk of yours are tending to your every need!!

Thanks to all for the vibes and prayers and clusterlove.  It sure made a difference.

I'm no where near 100% but I'm headed in the right direction.  I'm still very weak and out of sorts, but my boys are doing a wonderful job of looking after me.  I'll just lie low for awhile and I'm sure it'll all turn around (but lying low is VERY hard for someone like me, and I have to work at it).

Thanks again for your support of me and my family.  It means a lot.
(When this is over I'm gonna hate jello and applesauce!)

Good to see you posting, Pat.

I know how hard it is to sit idle whilst others do what you consider "your job" - but you just have to.  We all want you to get better quickly so just be a good girl and let those adoring men of yours wait on you hand and foot.

Sending get well wishes and hugs.

Typing is not considered an aerobic activity . . .  Grin(if it was, I'd be in GREAT shape!)

I'm truly taking it easy and my body tells me when it's time to lay down again.  I'm listening!! Honest!

Glad to see you post, Pat.   Smiley

I know it goes against your grain, but take it easy.  Really.

All the best, and I hope to hear that recovery is quick and complete.

It is great that you are back home Pat.  Make sure that Brew and Jr... take good care of you.  Being with my kids was always the best way to make me feel better.

Love and light, bright blessings to all of you.

I think it's the clear liquid diet that has her the most miffed. Once she agreed yesterday to be admitted, THEN the doc told her "nothing to eat or drink." When he walked into her room, she said to him (in front of the nurse, too), "YOU are on my shitlist. This is a total bait and switch job." That's when he let her have clear liquids. Grin

Pat and Bill, I'm so sorry I'm coming in to this thread so late.  Explanations are on another thread.

However, Pat, Bill's above post let me know that you would be OK.  Angry - yep, hungry - yep , pissed -yep, equals that you would be OK.

I'm so glad you are back home.  You dear, being the "do it all", get it done" sort of gal, just sit back and let the boys handle everything.  In other words.....STAY IN BED and enjoy!  It's time you get waited on.

Love you much,

Sandy

Pat get lots of rest and even though you say you know when to lie down, you're a mother, mothers NEVER know when to take it easy Wink

Good luck at your appt today, I bet all the cluster love will have shown the doc that we can fix people up just as good as he can Wink

Oh and could you please pass on a message to JrBrew - I am the proud owner of his coffee - after an intense bidding war, I was able to claim the DELICIOUS smelling nectar of life for a mere $60 Smiley

You be well Pat, do as the doc says and as your hubby says (ok well at least listen to him even you don't do what he says Wink )

Hell no!  I was just suggesting a proper course of action and wanted to make sure she could easily read it in her current condition  Smiley

Well, all these vibes and prayers and clusterlove worked once again!!

I went back for follow up and my doc gave me a cleaner bill of health than earlier in the week.

I still have to finish a two week course of oral antibiotics and be a bit careful of how much and what I eat, but I'm free to eat anything I want.

My heart says all sorts of Wisconsin delicacies like cheese and brats and chips, but my gut says stick with bland for awhile and see how it goes.  I think I'll listen to my gut awhile longer . . . . Wink

I'll need a colonoscopy in the Fall and am not looking forward to that Sad.

Thank you all for your help in beating this infection back into submission.  You're great friends and family!!!

That's some welcome new Pat.  The bland diet sucks but it's better than surgery ... trust me on that one.  I left Bill my number.  If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask em.

Brew, with 1 wife + 5 daughters I've got all the wimmenz I can take.  If you think Pat needs yelling at, you're just gonna have to handle that one yourself.  My hands are full already Shocked
