chronic for 11 years and now nothing
Jul 16th, 2008 at 1:01pm

I have been chronic for 11 years. taking verap and lithobid for last 9 or so. I started getting these a couple of months after i had my wisdom teeth out. Thought it was related somehow. All neuros said no. Then in april i went back to a new dentist and she said i had some inflamation under one of my top jaw teeth. She sprayed some antiobiotics up in there to help heal it. Ever since then i have not had one cluster. Quit all preventives and not even had a headache when drinking a beer without being on lithium, which was unheard of ! I can't say im cured but DAMNIT i feel good for the time being. Never been able to lay off preventatives for more then a day or 2 w/o getting hit before, and now nothing and no problems. I'm going today to talk to her and find out exactly what she seen was wrong up there! Tooth never gave me any trouble at all and i can't believe how a tooth could possibly be the culprit of this nightmare for 11 to 12 years.  Chris

Triptans cause increased number of hits and increased intensity.  Learn it, believe it, live it.  I use triptans as the absolute LAST RESORT when treating my CH.&&

Well--whether or not the two things are related, the fact that you're painfree is the best of all possible news.

All the best,

That is great that you are PF.

Enjoy it.  Dont worry about if they are related.  You may never know.
You have a whole new life to enjoy without having to worry about
getting hit when you least expect it.  Make plans.  Go out on a date
with your wife.  ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

May they never return.....

Bright Blessings,
Tia
