El's Gone Surrealist

Ellen's been playing around with Surrealist concepts lately.  Here's one, and what she says about it:

"The horse-thing was in a dream I had and he asked to be shown outside. So he was. :]

This is one of five finished pieces I'll be turning in for my AP art class summer assignment. I didn't see a surreal sections, and I don't know that I'd call this abstract, per-say. So for now it goes in Other.

There are a few area that I will continue to blend together, I think.

19x25.5"
Colored pencil, charcoal (both black and white), metallic pens, chalk pastel, graphite"

She's going to be giving Salvador Dali a run for his money soon.

Very nice, El.

She will go through lots of styles, especially in college. It's really exciting to watch her grow and progress. I can't wait to see where she ends up next year. She has so much talent and is so open minded!

From one who can't even draw stick figures - this girl does awesome work.

What on earth inspires her?  I'd love to live inside her head just for a day to see were she gets all these ideas.

In the not too distant future we'll all be able to say we knew her "back when".
