Weird dreams?
Jul 23rd, 2008 at 10:45pm

The last couple of nights, I have been having dreams about my own funeral. Who showed, who didn't etc.

Am I losing it or does anyone else have crazy ass dreams like this?

Sometimes I have dreams that I can levitate or fly! WTF?

I have the crazy flying dreams, and I also have these dreams where I can jump super high and get higher with each jump.  I think they are so fun, I enjoy it every time.

The relatives spend any money on the funeral?  Cardboard or mahogany?  Satin or burlap?

Not wishing to cause paranoia, you understand.   Wink

Best,

I dream wierd stuff all the time.

Found this online at a "dreams interpreted" website

Hope it helps!

Funeral Dream Meaning

Psychological Meaning: Don’t take this one too literally. The person being buried may represent an aspect of yourself that you are trying to repress. Is there something that you want removed from your life? Perhaps you have feelings, desires or thoughts that scare you. You may be worrying too much about your health or perhaps you want to bury the past. The only constant in life is change. The past is dead and buried so now embrace the present and look forward to the future.

Who is being buried? Do you feel resentment towards this person or do they symbolise something happening in your life or something about yourself? If it is you that is being buried in the dream then you may have a fear about being overwhelmed by your emotional troubles or unconscious forces. First, you must to get in touch with these hidden feelings and find out what they are. What has happened recently or a long ago to give rise to these emotions? Don’t keep burring them. Start by examining them, then accept them, and finally start to control them. The problems you try to bury are probably not as bad as you think.

Hey Jimmers,
I find that when I take Melatonin to help me sleep, I have very vivid and unusual dreams.
Given the fact that I never sleep over 1.5 to 2 hours a night, dreaming at all is eventfull. Usually when I fall asleep I go right into REM 4 and its like turning on a Television
I have been having a recurring dream my entire life, when I am not dreaming something else, I have always seen myself sitting in a lotus position, elevated about a foot off the floor.

I have the flying/jumping ones too. I'm often jumping down staircases flights at a time. I have quite vivid dreams. Sometimes I wake up really cross with OH because it feels so real!!

The hypothalamus plays a part in our emotions doesn't it? Perhaps there is a link there???

I have noticed that if my sleep is interupted, I will dream vividly and remember them.  If I sleep the night through (yea when that happens!) I rarely remember what or if I dreamed at all.
