Is this a hair clip or what? (Read 1238 times)

Jul 31^st, 2008 at 11:55am I know it's vintage, but I'm not sure what these were called? Hair clips? Hair holders? Are they used for something else? I've had it for 2 years and still trying to figure it out. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
