Car Stereo Question
Aug 12th, 2008 at 6:04pm

Something is going on with my car stereo.  When I turn the volume down, it does not go down, it goes all the way up and then will go down.  I have a 06 Ford Escape if that makes any difference.  Anyone have a clue?

Triptans cause increased number of hits and increased intensity.  Learn it, believe it, live it.  I use triptans as the absolute LAST RESORT when treating my CH.&&

Factory installed with the cd player.  I never had a problem with it until a month ago.

Quit trying to turn down Spinal Tap, because they go to 11 (it's one louder, isn't it?)

No, I have no idea Smiley

Does your volume control have a knob you turn or just up/down arrows on a toggle.  The knobs wear out and quit working
(just ask Pazco, his quit when he turned 60).

Bad solder connection or moisture in the Audio Frequency Attenuator optical sensor assembly (volume control).

They don’t use potentiometers any more because they tend to crackle over time and become a nuisance.

If its under warranty they should cover it. If it’s a cold solder joint, a tech may be able to fix it easily.

Good luck with it, Roland. Smiley

Thanks Rolo  Smiley

When my mechanic gets busy, he takes his phone off the hook.  He's been busy lately and I just knew someone here would know.  Smiley
