Hey gang!
Aug 18th, 2008 at 9:49pm

Greetings fellow CH'ers.

Been a bit. Been busy. Got an enlarged spleen and I feel lousy - that gave me some concerns for about a month. Often that is is a sign of a blood cancer and the like. Been going in for a battery of tests and the only thing they know is that I do not check out for cancer and that I owe them a bunch of money for co-pays. Just like my old dad said would happen.

Kids are fine. My Taylor girl had her first day of Pre-school today. I cried like a baby on the way out and thou I tried to hide it the teacher gave me a little wink. lol. Pitures to follow.

Got to grip on the water damage from earlier this year - new kitchen in 50% done. Had to strip it down to the joists and the studs. What a mess. still no sinks or countertop or finsihed flooring - w've been living like barbarians for 4 weeks now. Add in that I am working 60 hour work weeks and it has been a tiring ride.

No Ch thou - that will go in my graditude calendar tonight!
And I got my Jets number 4 jersey about a week ago!

Really I cannot complain, but sometimes I still do.......

What is going on with you folks here? Now that Favre has been traded I can spend more on-line time here instead of arguing on football messageboards Smiley

Glad to see you back!  I was wondering where you had gone.

Sounds like you got your hands full!  But then again, keeping busy many times keeps the beast away.  I hope he lost your address FOREVER!

Welcome back!

I just came back from New Hampshire, and THEY have had plenty of rain up there!  My sister's house had some flooding in it.

No rain here, but a 1/2 inch copper supply pipe under the house developed a pinhole leak today.  Scrambled around under the abode this afternoon, sweating copper pipe.  That was fun.  Might have been easier if I'd known what I was doing.  A plumber I'm not.

Best,

George

Thanks guys.

George, check out Pex plumbing for future problems. It is a system that has no copper sweating cuz it is a plastic semi flexible pipe. It is up to code most places now and you just crimp your fittings on with a tool.

I hear that we need rain, but I am finw without it. One thing I've NOT had to do is mow my lawn! Smiley

It is a good thing being busy can help keep the beast away - I have no idea what I would do right now if I had him to deal with as well.

Taylor's second day of school went much beter for daddy - didn't even cry today!

Yep I hear from my NH fam that it's been cold and rainy.  In the 50-60's in the lakes region.  Yucky!  It's usually so hot and humid in August, the one seriosly hot month there.

I used this on my 2nd floor remodel 6 years ago.  I've had two leaks.  1 from a misguided finish nail and one from a failed coupling.  The anti-freeze you need to put in the lines up North here makes quite a mess.

Overall I'm happy with the product.

Yeah I hope it goes away too!

I go in for some more tests later next week. I dunno if you've ever entered "enlarged speen" into google but the results are truley terrifying. Mono seems to be the only non-potential life ender there I tested negative for it.

It was to the point where it brought up some issues for me and the wife like how much life insurance do w have on me, will she re-marry, and how will my young children be able to remember me.

But as time goes on they eliminate more and more things, though they still can't say for sure what is going on.
