I have never felt more normal and at home as when I am with other CH'ers.

Elaine your posts and those of the others here are why the newbees like myself so quickly find this place to be a home!  I can't thank you all enough or explain what it's like to find others who are like myself and then be welcomed in with such warmth and grace.  We are very lucky and blessed to have found all of you!  Smiley

Glad you're here Mick and I know exactly what you mean.

Even though mine have been gone for 17 years, I had to join in here. Finding out that I wasn't alone was something. The thing that I'll never forget was when I met a whole bunch of us at my first convention. Not one of us had to explain anything about CH or pain when we first met. It was wonderful not having to deal with it that way. It made it similar to meeting members of any group. If you haven't met others, do it!

You'll never forget it.

I know your right Charlie!  I have never met anyone who could really understand like the people here.  Not a complaint as much as just a fact of life.  I'm sure others who suffer from various maladies experience that same thing.  I know I'll go to a gathering at some point soon.  Smiley

You know...Elaine's stories online are pretty freakin funny...but I'd highly suggest hearing some in person...my guts have never hurt SO bad as when Elaine tells a story, in person!  It's such a good hurt too, unlike the clusters.

OMG....you got that right!   Between Pidgeon Joe and Elaine at the New York convention I'll bet I lost 15 pounds just laughing so hard.

Mel, your comment was right-on!!!!!!!!!!!

Kidding Wink, welcome aboard. you can grab an oar at opening of the galley, eat some good info and then start rowing.

Its just like the high sea's, the more you row the more you survive.

Now row damn it!  Smiley

Edit to add: Sorry, I should explain "Row"......Its when you give back and offer any advice you have to help others here. Knowledge!. someone has to show the new folk. Wink

I think God knew we needed each other and he worked through DJ to build us this place. There is a reason and its to help each other and love each other!

I KNOW the Lord "blessed" DJ with Clusters AND Moyamoya, so he could build a home for many.  It's like his saying...adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it.

I thank God everyday for giving me DJ, without him, I wouldn't be here (and so much more...  )!

You all are wonderful in my book...  Kiss

LOL!  Thanks for the welcome Jonny!  You are correct.  It became clear to me real quick that my GP was clueless.  I all but threatened to kill her if she didn't get me in to see a neurologist!  Hell, I originally figured I had a brain tumor or something strange like that.  Then began to look at the internet.  I got real lucky with the neuro.  Not to worry I'm a scott irish worker bee.  I'll be rowing with ya.  Smiley

I used to wonder a lot why I have ch. I don't do that anymore; in a way I got my answer... Ch has been a blessing in so many ways, that I'm beginning to think that the next time I'll get hit, I will also be thanking God for it.
