Missing My Mom
Aug 25th, 2008 at 12:19pm

She died 5 years ago today.  I can't believe that it has been that long and at the same time it feels like forever.  I'm feeling a little sad and wish that I could have just one more day to spend with her  Cry.

Mine passed in 2001 and I am right there with you hon.  It's the hardest while trying to raise children I think.  At least it is for me.

So sorry!

Aw Jeannie, I hear you and have walked your road.  It never gets better, we just adapt to the loss.

My mom will be gone 23 years this Saturday.  It's STILL a hard week for me.

Hugs dear - we're here for you.

Please give her a call and tell her that you love her.  Just call for that reason, no other.   You'll not regret it.

My mom died a little more than 2 years ago. I still tend to jump to the phone to call out of habit. I talk to my Dad alot now but it just isn't quite the same. Mom's tend to listen unconditionally. I'm right there with you!

Jean,

Look up Sissy's Song by Alan Jackson.

Sorry if it makes you cry like me when I hear it, but I think it says it all about the Women/Moms/Sisters/Aunts/Grandmothers/Daughters we have all lost in our lives. Your feelings are just a reflection of the person that your are! And your are the Greatest!!!!!!!!! Kiss

I tried to post a link to the song, but my old computer wouldn't let me, either that or I am to stupid to figure it out, Anyways

Love Ya,

Jimmers and Barb!

Listen to that song its a good one, but it will make you cry. I still have my Mom but lost my day March 2005 I miss him so much, we will always miss them and always shed tears for them. It hurts a lot no matter how much time goes by. I wish I could hug your neck.

I'm sorry, Jean.

I lost my father in January, 2003.  Not a day goes by when I don't think of him.

All the best,

George

Jeannie,
All I have left of my Mother is the memories of her and a few photo's, somehow I ended up with her last Drivers License and my Uncle recently sent me the photo of her with her mom and my Aunt's mom on the day that my Aunt and Uncle married.
For me its funny that I feel more of her influence now then I did when she was alive.  It's been almost 20 years and I still think of her daily,  I guess that's what unconditional Love is all about!
Its the substance that fills the void when you think there is nothing left!  My Heart feels you Love!     John

Thanks again for all of the kind words.  I know that everyone can relate to the loss.  I guess that eventually almost everyone will have to experience this feeling.  For me it was the saddest time of my life.  Just as I was beginning to recover from my mother's passing, five months later my father died.   Some times I don't know how I ever got through.   But time does ease pain and we learn to get used to life with out them.  I really wish that they could have been here to know my children.

Big hugs to all of you who have been there,

Jeannie

Jeannie,
Everyday since I left my 36 year marraige to runite with my high school sweetheart, I wish both her parents and my parents could be here to see the joy that we both experience by being back together.  I know my Mom would be happy for us and I know her Mom would be happy for us, but our Dad's were both old school to the enth degree and never had a nice thing to say about anyone, so I Don't know if they would appreciate the love we feel for each other now!
In the end the only thing that matters is that we are Happy, regardless of what anyone thinks!  Extremely happy, but both wish Our Mom's could be here to share in our love again!   John
It's the Omni Present hole in our universe!
