Can anyone tell me just what that means?

Is it, like when you try and develope a childs mind to believe in things like if he just tries hard enough....or am I way of base? (According to news reports this kid has never hit a batter, hes just to fast)

Oh well, like always....YOU be the judge!

Teaching our children to be afraid will be the down fall.

Where else is a sports game among children always called a tie so no kids feelings get hurt?

You parents better speak up....and fast!

This is a really good example of today's liberal:

Picture this 9 year old phenom as "The Elite"

Picture all the other kids as "Everyone Else"

Whats good for "Everyone else" is not good for "The Elite".  Everyone else can have fun and learn baseball, except the elite, who is barred from having fun and learning baseball.
Why is it that "The Elite" can be made to feel sad by barring him from playing while "Everyone Else" can not be made to feel sad by striking out at the plate?

What a frigin shame.  It's pretty typical, though.  Unfortunately.

What was the name of that Kurt Vonnegut story?

The one where people who were more athletic than others were strapped with a hundred pounds of scrap iron they had to haul around with them all the time in order to slow them down, and people who were too smart were fitted with sirens that went off in their ears every thirty seconds so they couldn't think?

Looks like Kurt was right.  Again.  (Sigh.)

It sure is getting weird out there.

Best,

George
