Wow.
Holy schniekies, wow.

I don't know much about her, but I do know she is a common sense person.  When she sees something she doesnt like, she has no problem in letting her voice be heard and has no problem in rolling up her sleeves and getting in the trenches.

Wow, Wow.  I think this changes the dynamic completely.

WOWZA!!!

Boy does THIS make for an interesting run!  I know nothing about her, but just her age and sex make it VERY interesting!

There are enough narrow minded idiots out there that will just look at the choices:
An over 70 year old white guy, with a female VP
- OR -
A black man ...

WOW!!!

This IS a historic race, even though, as usual, I will be picking the lesser of the two evils ...  And at this point, I have not decided who is the lesser ... I really don't care for either one of them!

Just out of curiosity, when was the last time you were excited to vote for a Presidential candidate?   It seems that it is ALWAYS a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils.

I'm with you Chuck.  I don't like the choices in front of me.

This is a stunning selection.  It makes the McCain ticket more attractive to x-Clinton supporters and gives McCain a youth component he was clearly missing before.

On the other hand he opened himself up to the same problems Obama faces now with his lack of experience.  She's four years younger than Obama and one heart attack away from the Oval Office.

I hear that from a lot of people, but yet people still choose from the "two" major parties.  I don't get it.  If you really don't like either choice then choose something else.  Don't swallow the "wasting your vote" line.  We're going to have to go through some proverbial pain before it gets better.

Solid choice.  She is a conservative, has a son in the army, fights wasteful spending and corruption.  I am totally happy with this one.  She is a woman who I would like to see in the office someday.  She is a woman that this country can be proud of.  If this country is ready for a woman (they are) she is it.  McCain changed everything with this selection.  She may be four years younger than Obama, but she has actual accomplishments to list, unlike The One.

I must say, I am finally excited about this election.

I hear that, man.  Everything is changed now.
She may be younger, but she has more experience in politics.  She started in city politics in 92.
This is one hell of a choice by McCain!!!!

I certainly was surprised when I saw the news about McCain's choice for his running mate. I'm following the election process with interest anyway, but this makes it even more interesting. Historic election coming up, that's for sure.

I like what she told Kudlow with CNBC when she first got on the short list. She said, Quote:
As for the prospect of her being vice president, Palin told Kudlow that she could not answer the question of whether she wanted the job “until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the VP does every day. I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration.

I thought that was pretty refreshing. She sure hit all the right buttons with her speech a few minutes ago.

*edited to add....Unless a bunch of skeletons come popping out of her closet, I think that we have just seen a turning point and McCain will indeed be our President. I think we could do much worse.

She has only been Governor for a short while and does not have much experience to run the country if she needs to fill the shoes of 72 y/o McCain.  She is also under invesigation for trying to get her ex-brother in-law unfairly fired from the State Patrol using the power of her office.  Of course this changes the dynamic of the election.

Just a month ago, she admitted that she didn't know what the Vice President does.  That's the kind of fresh perspective America needs!

This election is getting interestinger and interestinger!

In my 62 years of life (only able to vote since age 21) I can't think of any Presidential election that has been so different, so exciting.

I don't know how I'm going to vote - I have until election day to make up my mind, but today's VP announcement sure makes it a challenge for me. - And, to all you chauvenist pigs out there, it's not because she's a woman.  I voted Obama in the primary - I detest Hillary.  To me, THAT was a vote for the lesser of two evils.
