Well, I'm stoked...

Remember how I've said that I've never met another clusterhead?  Not in forty years of this stuff?

Well, that's about to change.  I'll be meeting Karl from Lewiston here in Boise on Thursday morning.

Report will follow.

Smiley

Best,

George

Give him a hug for me (and Check his BUNS - inquiring minds want to know Wink ) Beat Chuckles to that one Kiss....

Seriously -- you're in for a BIG treat... there's nothing like it. as you will see Thursday. Of course you'll probably just sit there and stare at each other with NOTHING to talk about (yeah right - like that's EVER happened!  Smiley ).  Have a great time.... and I know you will...

Hugs BD

Directions for a CH gathering in Idaho...

A quarter mile out of town the road turns to gravel, then dirt.  About four miles past this is a trail on the left marked by a leaning birch tree.  This leads to a river (no name).  Put your canoe in the water, paddle around three bends until the adjoining cliff face has a layer of red and then turns darker brown, there you'll see old man Jones fishing a small rapids that leads into a pool.  He'll be there only until 6:00am, so don't be late, he'll point the way around the third peak in the east.  Wind around this to the other side, camp for the night.
Now, the Subaru can only take us to within 20 miles of where you are.  Hike due north as the eagle flies until a long valley comes into full view, we'll hike in 15 miles from the other side where the roads from Boise end.  We'll see you there!

George, sounds great.  I gotta get out more.    Smiley

George, thats great news! I am sure its something you will never forget. I met my first fellow clusterhead this summer, "midwestbeth", and I made a good friend for life! Its an incredible feeling to talk to someone about CH and NOT have to explain everything, you can see it in their eyes, "they understand".   Have fun!         Tuck

Make SURE you go to the birch tree that leans to the EAST, and not the one that leans to the southwest.  If you take the trail next to the tree that leans to the southwest, you will end up in the middle of nowhere ... Oh wait ... That IS where you are going ... OK, take either trail ...

Yes, pictures are REQUIRED!!!  It cannot be a fully sanctified meet (by the powers that be) without pictures.  AND, they must be posted.
(Even the ones with your scary puss in them!)

This will be an experience and person that you will forever treasure!

Good for you two!!!

Where there is Oxygen, you must use proper caution.
So be safe, don't smoke while using O2. Kill the pain and not yourself.

Some day I'll post a couple of pics showing where the roads from Boise really do end.

Go west, young man.  There's a river and a fly rod out here with your name on it--anytime.   Wink

Best wishes,

George

P.S.--I think you all can expect that Karl and I might post a couple photos later this week.

Thank you.
