Poem for Linda

Red runs the blood.
Orange is the flame.
Yell out and hear the echo.
Gazing at the sky you trip.
Black blue turns the bruise.
Inside you slowly drift.
Poof! Suddenly it's gone.
Such a sad ending.
And it leaves you feeling
empty inside.
Because you know,
you'll never again see,
such a pretty rainbow.

I was suppose to work on a poem about rainbows and butterflies for Linda. But I couldn't quiet fit both of those things in this one but I at least got one part right. Hope you like it Lind. Kiss

(Oh and if you look down the side the first 7 sentences are ROYGBIV like a rainbow. Just another little writer's trick.)

Take it down a notch. You said it was supposed to say one thing, I merely pointed out that it didn't. You'd rather have no constructive criticism? I can just shut up if that's what you prefer.

Aww, Felicia. I no sooner said something to your Dad and Poof!!!! you wrote a poem for me. Thank you sweetie. It was great.

( I had told Billy I wished that Felicia could be happy enough in her life to maybe not write such dark poetry all the time. I said I wished, at her young age, she'd write about sunshine and rainbows.)

I'm touched Felicia. I really am.
