Ad from PETA
Sep 6th, 2008 at 10:11am

This came over on the news this morning. PETA ran an ad for a Pet Package for new puppy owners in a pet magazine. It gave a toll free number to call.

Turned out to be a "body (doggie) bag" for dogs who had been put to sleep in shelters for each puppy "bought" at pet shops. Some people are really upset about it.

Guess it was their way of asking people to "adopt" pets but it was a little over the top. I agree with the idea of adopting pets rather than buying them, but I don't agree with this....

Yeah, that's pretty low.  PETA has good intentions, but many they go overboard.  This is one of those times.

Doggy Bags? Nope, not even going there. PETA always manages to bring up the wierdest ideas. Another mind image I don't need. Those people give me the creeps.

Thanks Brew. I'd forgotten that one.

PETA can be a very weird bunch.

considering I am an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper, yes trapper ! , please,,, ,,,,PETA,, dont EEEVEN get me started!  My little town, county, and COUNTRY have children being mistreated on an HOURLY bases and these freaked out zealots are worried about stray cats!!!  many, MANY years ago , before my wife and I were married, we were going to a pro hockey game. A group of these PETA nut-cakes were protesting at the entrance to the arena. They were getting a bit violent towards ANY ONE wearing fur. My soon-to-be- wife was wearing a rabbit coat,(farm raised rabbit, which really doesnt matter to me if they were farm raised or wild), and two of these "women", I use that term loosely, threatened to spray paint her coat! Needless to say, her coat did NOT get painted, and ,,,, I did NOT end up in jail. But, ever since then, all i need is to HEAR the word PETA and my stomach turns!            Tuck
