I play with it a lot and have had a lot of fun with it, mostly to index my photos and produce the sort as below which I keep on my desk at work, I produce a new one every few weeks or so. I have well and truely had my moneys worth from it.

Mine are not perfect , but they are good enough for my needs, I am sure someone with more skill/time would get realy good results from it

We have not used the other features other than to quick fix some photos.

Don't know anything about 5.0. I started out with 3.0, went to 4.0 (which I never used and didn't like) and now I have 6.0. I really like 6.0 and I do use the program a whole lot. It's self-explanatory in most cases and you can go to most any large book store and get the book that goes with the program. I paid $35.00 for the book that is the tutor for my program. I like 6.0!
