How can you believe any of them Donna?  Spin is everywhere.  There's always going to be long explanations and no one wants to listen to them in an instant gratification country. Roll Eyes

Anyway, I'm trying to spend my time on the main candidates views on issues.

Donna,
I'd already heard about that one.  This is going to be one nasty election before it's all said and done with.  I've started looking at the independents (and I'm not finding too much there).

Mel, this is an issue.  Palin claimes she's not for pork barrel legislation, and she is.  She claimes to be a candidate of change, not a good-old-boy, not a Washington insider, but she wanted to build a bridge, that would have cost us all, out to 50 residents.  And now, she's lying about it.  In my opinion, honesty is the biggest issue.

Since I can't find anyone worthy of my vote, I will need Charlie's and Jonny's full legal names for the write in.   Cheesy

Sounds pretty fair to me, except for the age requirement.  Shouldn't it be 14-1/2 to practice and 16 to vote?

But, then again, Florida would probably screw up what goes where.  Roll Eyes

I said it in another thread but it bears repeating.

If the candidate is not honest, whatever they say regarding other issues is 100% irrelevant.

Let's say I tell you all here that I have CH and I post here to tell you all I tried, lets say, peppermint oil, and it cured my headaches. THEN you find out that I actually don't have Ch and I just happn to SELL peppermint oil.

I get labled a troll, people bash me, my avitar changes to a "don't feed the troll sign" and my username turns green.

Seriously, I don't see the logic is listening to ANYTHING a proven liar says. Not a single word.

And while there is some decpetion with all parties (it is a given in politics that there will be spin to make one's self look better) outright proven lying is completely different.

Add the proven hypocracy involved with Palin and I can't see who would listen to her unless they are either very biased or have fallen for her scare tactics of using 9-11 as a political op.

Add to the fact that she is another leader who God talks directly to and who purports to know what God's plan is (and then later changed her tune on that as well) and I am VERY afraid for the WORLD if she is in any US office come next year.

superhawk, obviously you are not voting for McCain/Palin.  Good for you!!  Many of us are fence sitters.  Hell, I won't know who to vote for probably until the day I am standing in that booth looking at the paper!!

Guess it's cause I'm cursed with being able to see all sides point of view, I dunno. Undecided

Good stuff jonny! Grin

I'm not sold to either side, I want to watch some good old fashioned debates with real and not staged questions for all of them. I'm kind of with Jamey on this one about the lying. Not good!

She strikes me as the kind of person who would do anything including lying to get what SHE wanted. The naughty librarian good looks don't fool me for one minute. Shall I say, "troopergate"

I feel sorry for McCain. His choosing Palin was incredibly cynical from the start. It gets worse daily. My guess is that he let the Karl Rovers take over his campaign who look at getting elected as a process in which rules are not as well defined as in paintball.

She encouraged it. Any form of sympathy for banning  is all it should take someone as bright as McCain to try again.

Ever since her nomination......shame on the press for doing their job.

what we need is a "no confidence" vote.   We can't pick from what we have, so we vote "no confidence" in the choices. Make 'em scrap the candidates and start over again.  JMHO

I agree Charlie.  The fact that she even inquired is enough to make my skin crawl.

I still say that I'm going to change my name to *none of the above*, get put on teh ballot as a last ditch effort and win by a landslide  Wink

“When you look at this Palin cover and contrast it with the super-friendly story on Obama, it’s hard not to see that they’re clearly biased,” said Jane Hall, associate professor at the American University School of Communication. “It’s not fair and it’s also offensive. I think that they are going to be offensive to many people regardless of whether you’re for Sarah Palin or not.”

Got to love that left wing media, eh?
