My day so far...
Sep 24th, 2008 at 11:15am

has been a busy one.

We were awakened by a phone call at 4.15am. Our friends had gone into labour and needed someone to watch their twins (only 22 months). So over I went.

It's now 4.05pm and I'm just sitting down at home. It's been a day of nappies, clothes changes, food fights and running around. I had great fun really - got a free day off (I work with their dad), though I don't think I've worked that hard in months!

Anyway, baby Gethin (very Welsh name) was born within a few hours weighing a healthy 8lb 13. He weighs twice what his big brother and sister weighed together when they were born! Emily (I like to think she's named after me Wink) was 2lb 1 and Rhys was 2lbs 3 - 13 weeks prem.

On the plus side, as Dad's now home with twins, we get first visiting rights tonight at the hospital.  Smiley I'm already getting so broody. There's just something about newborns, isn't there?  Cheesy

Got that warm and fuzzy feeling now. Love to all.
Em
xx

PS - Sending vibes out to Mum and Dad, who know how 3 under-2's...  Shocked They're very brave!

Nothin like a baby fresh out of the oven Cheesy

Too bad they don't stay that way  Undecided

Andrea takes care of two Nieces.  They are 14 and 18 months.  She's like a wet piece of linguini by the time I get home at night.

The Mom of one of them is expecting twins. I can't wait  Cool  My wife on the other hand...

Ah!
but revenge is at hand.

When I'm an old lady, I'll live with each kid,
And bring so much happiness...just as they did.
I want to pay back all the joy they've provided.
Returning each deed! Oh, they'll be so excited!
(When I'm an old lady and live with my kids)

I'll write on the wall with reds, whites and blues,
And I'll bounce on the furniture...wearing my shoes.
I'll drink from the carton and then leave it out.
I'll stuff all the toilets and oh, how they'll shout!
(When I'm an old lady and live with my kids)

When they're on the phone and just out of reach,
I'll get into things like sugar and bleach.
Oh, they'll snap their fingers and then shake their head,
(When I'm an old lady and live with my kids)

When they cook dinner and call me to eat,
I'll not eat my green beans or salad or meat,
I'll gag on my okra, spill milk on the table,
And when they get angry...I'll run...if I'm able!
(When I'm an old lady and live with my kids)

I'll sit close to the TV, through the channels I'll click,
I'll cross both eyes just to see if they stick.
I'll take off my socks and throw one away,
And play in the mud 'til the end of the day!
(When I'm an old lady and live with my kids)

And later in bed, I'll lie back and sigh,
I'll thank God in prayer and then close my eyes.
My kids will look down with a smile slowly creeping,
And say with a groan, "She's so sweet when she's sleeping!"

God Bless All Mums and Grandmas everywhere!

Em, looks like you had a busy day! That's also called practice for the future, right?  Wink

What comes to that revenge text... I hope that my mother don't see that. Wink She did make me swear that I will never ever let her move into my house when she's old - she picked that tradion up from her mother-in-law, who made her promise the same.
