FREE-as in pain free...........anyone out there who can relate???

As for his own chosen method of coping?? Well, some are Light sensitive, some bang their heads enough to do damage...some like to be alone....some even rub their tummies with raspberry-vinaigrette dressing...or have an orgasm( or not CHUUCK Tongue Tongue)...
Point being, just because someone deals with the beast differently from you doesn't make em a troll, and shouldn't subject them to foul language and accusations.........
NOW..when someone DOES prove themselves to be a troll...get out the sticks.... but again, why be an anal orefice to someone who probably suffers the same unimaginable pain as you do?
Jonny, thank you for handling this soo nicely! Got a gold stasr for you, Mister!

Shark-boy, enjoy your weekend.........and when you get back, let's get to know you better.......

Look, I was simply seeking clarification of something I did not understand. When shark boy answers me, hopefully I'll have gained that knowledge. He's apparently gone for the weekend, so I'll be patient.

Yeah I was a bit direct, but I apologised if I was wrong in advance. And I wasn't personally offended, though it did seem that there may have been some mocking at the time.

I just can't seem to wonder why someone would replace the drywall in a closet they keep breaking their head through.

During PF times I would think I would replace the drywall I broke with my head after the first time, and then I would find something more suitable to hit my head on instead of continually destroying my home.

It guess it reminded me too much of the "Here's Johnny" scene in The Shining............

No big, shark boy.  I've done weirder things than smashing drywall with my head--and I know I'm not the only one.

'Fact, one person I know here macerated his wee-wee in a cracked toilet seat one time.  It ended a hit for him.  He says he didn't do it on purpose, but I dunno.

He ain't right, but he's one of us.

Welcome.

All the best,

George

I guess I am confused by what you wrote.

Quote:
that has a replaceable piece of drywall

I just can't seem to wonder why someone would replace the drywall in a closet wall they keep breaking their head through.

How does one make a "replaceable piece of drywall"? I've done lots of drywall repair and it is a pain each time as one must add somthing behind the hole so the the piece of drywall you are replacing has a place to be attached to. Seems like a lot of work.

So then you're saying that you make the choice during PF times, that you are going to bash your head through the drywall during your next hit, since you have the fore-thought to make your home's drywall replaceable - BUT you don't think coming up with something else to hit your head on is a good idea (like why not just take the drywall you already own that is for replacing the hole you're just going to make in your closet) and juat hold it or lean it up against the wall on an angle and then break it with your head?

Is it the banging of your head that helps (which I think is the reason for most people who bang their head during a hit) or is it the sensation of breaking through the drywall with your head, or more accurately, breaking through the wall itself into your homes sub-structure?

If the banging helps you, you could just bang your head on anything else. Or take some of the drywall you have and the wall several layers thick so it doesn't break.

I am not upset with you, I just don't understand the logic.

I hope any of my ideas will help you......

Before I had o2 to abort a hit, I could not be confined, had to have lots of room to pace. When we had friends over and I got hit, just having to be in the bedroom with the door closed drove me crazy, but now with o2, I can get on it right away and keep myself calm until the hit backs off, usually within a few minutes.

Be careful hitting your head on drywall, there is a wooded stud behind it that won't give, and that will "ring your bell" pretty good.  Wink

My safe place........alone, with no chance of being seen by anyone......preferably home.

I'm not proud to admit that I also have been a head banger and the plaster walls with the studs behind them were my choice place because the sound didn't echo as much through out the house.  After banging my head so hard during one kip 10, I saw a flash of white and probably came close to knocking myself out.  I do not recommend this, once the ch has passed you are left with a throbbing headache.  I wish I could say that I will never do that again, but during a kip 10, all common sense goes out the window.

Beth
