Nursing mother update
Oct 9th, 2008 at 2:48am

Well, I have a piece of crap neurologist.  A little back ground, we moved away for 4 years and just recently moved back so this particular doctor has not seen me in 4 years.  I called his office first thing asking for an emergency appt. that day and if he couldnt work me in please call in a prescription for Immitrex to get me though until he can see me.   His office didnt call back until 4pm and his message was "follow up with your primary care doct".  WHAT?  I went into panic mode.  I could not go though another night without meds.  I quickly called my OB and he sent in a prescription for 1 100mg Immitrex pack.  Those 9 pills will last me me about 4 days.  I really don't have a PCP here so my friend recommend her doct.  At first after being told they did not have an appt. available until mid November I sobbed on the phone and sure enough something became available for this Thursday.  So I am headed to the doc. tomorrow hopeing he is familiar and can get me some oxygen.  My hubby, knowing how I suffer has altered his work schedule and works from home in the morning so I can sleep in.  I don't know what I would do if I had to get up at 7am with our oldest every morning.  I am usually getting back into bed around 6am after the 3 week old gets up.

Sorry if this is rambling.  I have just finished an episode and need to get back into bed!  Thanks for all your kind words from my previous post.  Its amazing how effective positive words are when you are feeling down.

I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that crap! That sucks so badly. Sad I hope that this doctor can help you when you go in Thursday!

Sending you hugs and good vibes for you and your family~

As far as I'm concerned, cluster busting has been the best treatment I've tried. No migraines since I started it, and my hits have gotten so much better. Wanna know more?
